ESPN & MLB network thinks the whole country only want to watch the Red Sox and Yanks. I live out of state now and only get to watch White Sox on TV. I know this is very old news about east coast bias but you'd think the power to be would have more common sense. Wrote both networks about this with no reply. Bad also Directv doesn't show WGN news any longer.

The majority of the country would rather watch the Yankees and Red Sox compared to the White Sox. Nothing against the Sox as I agree with you and would like to see different teams being shown, but the networks are going to do what is best for their business.

I feel the OP pain as I am in same boat. I do not see why MLB does not warrant some more exposure for other teams though. The NFL tightly controls how teams are all over national tv.

ESPN has a huge crush on the Yasiel Puig and the Dodgers, too.

A national channel wants to show a product that will appeal to the largest crowd possible....shocking...

"I know a guy." Yanks/Red Sox games get way better ratings on Sunday Night Baseball, and they get significantly more hits on the web too. It's not a bias, it's just facts.

What teams need more exposure? 1/3 of baseball is god awful.

WGN not showing the local news is not a directv thing, it's a WGN thing. They are trying to turn their superstation (WGN america) into another TNT/TBS. If you haven't figured out what that means, let me spell it out to you: bulls/sox/cubs games that we get on Saturdays and sometimes during the week will disappear probably in the next couple of year. It's a shame, the Saturday night Bulls game is usually the only chance I get to watch them.

It has been a while since WGN out of Illinois showed the same thing as local WGN. It is a super station. In fact, I do not think they are allowed to put the games all over country as TBS also is not. It is one of the reasons I argued before that the Cubbie tourism thing will eventually die off.

Yeah it sucks.
