This current OF is terrible. 2 HR's from our OF? It's not these guys are speedsters either.

We tried these guys, they had a chance and they showed what we all know they are. AAAA players! Thanks for the effort!

Vitters. Now playing OF AAA IOWA. 2 HR 8 RBI .280, by no means anything special, but this is the kids last chance. He's 25, you arent rushing him at this point.

If he doesnt work, fine, just let Junior Lake play everyday as well.

Kalish, Sweeny, Scheirholz, bleck! I know they are just keeping the spots WARM, but these guys need 50 degrees more to get to WARM.

Yeah I agree. I am done seeing Sweeney, Kalish, and Nate. Nate I think could be a nice 4th or 5th OF/Pinch hitter. Lake, Babe Bonafico, and Vitters.

He probably wouldnt have come here but Nelson Cruz in the middle of this lineup would make it look a lot better.

Maybe you sign him, a couple veteran relief guys and who knows where this team is.

No, I was expecting them to start attempting to win this year. With the starts by Rizzo, Castro, and Castillo being better than expected I think they were only a couple moves from a decently average team.

He wouldnt block anybody (as if that's even a problem, too many good OF's)

Cruz would have nowhere to play. He's a butcher in the outfield and who knows his true value after PEDs and no Texas.

Try to dump Nasty Nate off to the Angels for whatever they are willing to give up. He could help them out right now.

If they can send Kalish down...send him down. Bring up Vitters and Vailaka.

I would say my plan is to trade away stuff and suck like Astros. Pretty good plan right?

'Keeping it warm" and what they are doing now is another level of bad.

Just as Adam Silver is going to need to step into the NBA, Jerry's next commissioner should do something about this as I think it is going to worse.

Only issue is that I don't think Jerry cares about teams willing to tank.

I was hoping for something more positive this year, but the quiet offseason was a tale-tale sign. Ricketts is now in year 5 of running a sad organization to even lower depths. All the "Theo head-nodders" can not even see daylight from here, with the "ready" date being pushed back to what now? I was hoping to see some guys this year.

He's got an OPS+ of 136 "after PEDs". I'm pretty sure that's better than any Cub.

The second part is a valid guess on his production (though early returns suggest he's still a good hitter)

He'd play the outfield and they'd be a better team

Were still gonna see some guys. Baez and possibly Bryant.

But, how do we know it's Theo? I think its quite possible he thought they'd be spending some money by now

They aren't going to acquire anyone, we know that.

At some point in June or July, Bryant will have 20-25 HR's at AA.

Of course, the experts have Bryant playing RF, yet he has played 15 games, all at 3rd. I think we should then expect the guy to be playing 3rd. of course he has 3 errors in 27 attempts.

This organization is slow at moving players' defensive positions. They wait until the player is very comfortable at the dish...over multiple minor league seaso.s

No, I was expecting them to start attempting to win this year.

Not that I'm surtprsed. I've been consistent in that expectation since Theo got here.I thought/think two years of roster cleanup and rebuild is a reasonable time frame to bottom out and start going up

that, sadly is a different argument. And you are right, Theo the magician could have made them competitive by now and accomplished bigger goals.

But as to whether you really thought after seeing the way things really are going, of course not.

Its embarrassing that they're in year three of not trying to win. Even in other rebuilds, you dont tank three, four years in a row.

Like I said, two years is reasonable but should be the limit. You have to start trying at some point. They arent just going to snap there fingers in 2016 and win the World Series.

Its annoying because they have enough pieces now that a couple additions could have made them competitive

When you have 3 of your 4 starting pitchers throwing well and 1 about to come off the DL you should be more competitive than this. I have no patience left for some of the shit they are putting on the field. The damn pitcher had to drive in all but 1 run last night. If Sweeney is going to bat .179 then he can go away. Nasty Nate is a shell of his nastiness and can go away. Valbuena should come of the bench...not start somewhere every damn night. Let us not forget that they picked up Boni off the scrap pile during the spring. Take him away and this team has 3 wins maybe.

There is no way cheap ass ricketts doesn't have the money for them to have added some moderately tolerable outfielders for this season.

I am not the biggest Lake supporter, but he has shown 10 times more than Sweeney/Ruggiano combined. Power, Speed, Defense.

I know they love Kalish and will give him equal chances this year and then they want Nate to hit 20+ HR again to trade him.

Lake still needs to get better and I have heard a good way to do this is TO PLAY.

Even if you had a plan to trade some players still, this is the one guy who can get you something! or he becomes a player you keep.

After 3 seasons of the same crap,I'm glad some folks on here can see the light!

It's never ok to lose on purpose...NEVER! (Not counting the NBA)

Vitters tanking in AAA over the last week. AVG down to .237; Alcantara is the guy to watch.
