This is almost impossible to believe. There are SO many ways to hide pine tar and this dumbass just puts a glop on his neck . At least put some effort in it. Jeez.

I can't believe this happened when noted baseball played the right way character man Brian McCann was his catcher!

Maybe it was on Olbermann, but I saw a piece on the mental gymnastics pretty much all of baseball accepts with regards to pitchers using a little bit of sunscreen or pine tar or zebra cum to give them just enough grip when throwing a ball to keep them from flying around like 'Wild Thing' does in Major League that I can pretend to agree with the practice and to make me think McCann would as well ... excepting for how stupidly obvious it was in this case.

Which is really my only beef with a lot of "cheating" per se (stealing signals, grip enhancers, etc) ... for fuck's sake have a sense of respect for oneself, others, fans, and perhaps the totality of the game to at least make an 'honest' attempt to be discreet in your cheating ... just because you're not white doesn't mean we can't see a pine tar blotch on your neck that reminds us of the Big Red Storm on Jupiter, ya dumb bastard.

Agreed, and when you're caught, just be a man and admit it.

I'm all for cheating except for injecting powerful chemicals into your blood stream. That's no longer good fun. Pine tar, nail files, vasoline, superballs. That shit adds intrigue to the game.

See, I don't really get this. If it's ok to use as long as you're discreet about it, then it should just be allowed. It makes no sense for MLB to just look the other way on it as long as you don't make it really obvious

Troll fail.

A) it wasn't Albert himself and B) it was the umpire's room, not the clubhouse. If you're gonna troll, get it right. Fuckin idiot...

The Wilton Guerrero corked bat was one of the funniest moments ever. I wish I could a youtube video of that one.

i remember reading a story where old yankee 3rd baseman graig nettles used a corked bat during a game, hit a home run with it, and in his next at bat the end of the bat flew off and super balls flew all over the infield. i remember him saying he felt like a complete fucking idiot standing there with a bat with the end clean off of it (apparently it had been glued on) while the umpire and the catcher looked at him like "what the fuck?". that had to be pretty funny.
