When the hosts need to provide direction on how to write the Crap for the listener, it's time to put this segment in the grave.

I love when B&B say that the callers and texters need to step it up. If that is the case, why do they take calls and texts from the same unfunny people, week after week?

i swear i've heard WYC be called "the station's flagship segment" or something like that, what with it being the longest running bit on the longest running show on the station and all that.

plus since gary in evanston died there has to be some sort of perpetual memorial to the guy and you know in your heart of hearts (you timelord you) that this segment is going nowhere. no matter how right biggie is about this sort of thing i'm pretty damn sure it ain't going anywhere

I'd be curious of the numbers. The segment sucked 5 years ago. I've given up on the segment and show pretty much. I hopped in the car at 5 and 670 was still on from my morning commute with M&H and the 1st crap led to instant FM radio time:
"Uh, yesterday Ed Farmer said the Reds ballpark was All American Ballpark but it's name is actually Great American Ballpark. Ed Farmer, professiona broadcasterl you should be..." *click* That's enough of that.

Well...if this place is any indication...people will listen no matter how much they think it sucks. I know we aren't typical, but you have to believe a good number of sports talk radio listeners behave somewhat similarly. I see folks around here discussing shit they hate......while listening to that shit they hate every day. That's got to be going on to a certain degree.

The show has no competition as of now. And if people listen, they have no reason or insentive to change anything...
