I feel like this Rockets/Blazers series will be 7 classic/unbelievable games.

LaMarcus Aldridge is a fucking beast. I'd take him over Blake or Love.

Yet another reason that trade sucked.

Sure is fun to watch Howard lose. Can't stand him.

For what it's worth, here's an article about Donaghy saying the NBA is trying to arrange a BKN Miami conference final. http://allucanheat.com/2014/04/23/forme ... nce-final/

He does realize that isn't possible right?

You're right. Didn't even occur to me to check . Not that he was this authoritative voice to begin with, but if this quote is accurate then it won't exactly boost his credibility, to state the obvious.

Actually it's the Heat website that's mistaken. The full Donaghy quote they cite in a Fox Sports report makes no mention of the third round. http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/disg ... :foxsports

Also the league thought the quote was worth a response, which is also in the above link.

Oklahoma City is in trouble with Memphis, IMO. If they had Gasol and Allen for all 82 games they probably would've won 55+ games and this wouldn't be as bit a surprise to many.

Memphis takes this series, Greg Kihn's out as Thunder coach; Thibs to OKC for OKC's next 2 first round draft picks.

Anything short of LeBron James coming to the Bulls in a trade for Thibs would piss me off. Getting the 30th pick in the draft a couple years in a row doesn't get the Bulls closer to an NBA championship.

I could be talked into a Thibs/Anthony Davis trade I suppose.

I don't want LeBron on the Bulls.

I could be talked into that too. I want the Bulls to beat LeBron but if he decided to switch teams again I wouldn't complain.

The meatball in me would be rooting for the Bulls to fail. I just can't ever wrap my head around rooting for him.

Back up to 9.

My guy Lance playing his ass off. Needs some help. Not sure why George is being so passive offensively.

I agree, but I don't consider it to be meatball.

Which is more logical: rooting for teams based on whether you like the players or rooting for an organization run by billionaires because it supposedly represents the city you like, regardless of whether you like the actual players?

I admit to doing both, but there is nothing meatballish about wanting the team you root for to have guys you actually like.

I can't believe I once criticized Jeff Teague's new contract.

Actually, yes I can. That's probably not even in my top 20 "couldn't be more wrong" comments.

This series is kind of like the Mavs/We Believe Warriors series from a few years ago. Except both these teams suck.

The way the 1/8 and 2/7 series have gone in both conferences makes me wonder if the West has the best 8 teams in the NBA. I think Memphis could beat Miami in a series right now.

Memphis up 17 now. Durant nowhere to be found. Bad Westbrook showing up. God I love this.

I agree. I'd probably have issues if LBJ were here, but I guess I wouldn't mind the Bulls winning with him either. On the other hand, and perhaps Powerhouse feels the same way, I'd renounce my Chicagoness if Wade ever played here.
