WRONG!

Jimmy needs the Cubs. A Somber relaxing meaningless game.

Hawks games might put Jimmy back in the reapers hands!

Baez, Almora, Bryant......all 1st round picks who should make a difference on the team when they get to the major leagues. But it takes a few years to develop the talent, before it's ready for the major league level. No sense in paying for mediocre players to be halfway respectable until the outstanding prospects are major league ready. better to get more top draft picks due to a lousy record a time or two more. Then it will be time to ascertain which prospects have panned out and where they fit in and fill the holes that remain through trades and free agent signings. It's not time yet...

So you're okay if they continue to embarrass themselves next year too?

What makes you think they will be any different than other teams that have blown for years and received high picks (Astros, Royals, Mariners, etc.)? Other than stockpiling first round picks, which anyone could do (or should I say, only the Cubs could intentionally do and not have a fan revolt), what have they accomplished? The money they are not spending at the MLB level is NOT being set aside for future payroll.

I agree it is not time YET.

But the time is getting REALLY CLOSE to let them take some lumps at the major league level. They are going to have hurdles, most do. When some kids do what Bryant is doing, it is OK to show them why they still need to get better.

Cubs prospect third baseman Kris Bryant hit his fifth home run of the season for Double-A Tennessee as part of a 2-for-6 game on Saturday.
Bryant is hitting .312/.442/.597 with seven doubles, five home runs, and five stolen bases for the season.

It is rare that a rookie is great his first year. The timetable for continued suck is probably 2 years after Baez is brought up...at the earliest.

Good luck with those free agents. I'm sure guys with other opportunities will be climbing over each other to purchase a The(o) Plan lottery ticket

I dont know if you guys are banking on waiting til 2018 or if you think the team is gonna just snap their fingers and win the World Series whenever they decide "its time", but there is gonna have to be a progression.

So, if you are ok with tanking this season, you're pretty much saying you're good to not win anything meaningful for 2-3 years

At this point I think you wait until the point of the year when you still have that 6th year of control. It might be June 1 at the earliest.

It is time for Baez and his .164 average to make his MLB debut. Can you promote while on the DL because Soler and Almora deserve their chance as well.

The(o) Plan is currently running on a flat tire but hey, the draft is coming up in about a month for some new found hope.

Trololololololol

Nevermind the last three years of Baez dominance. Focus on 15 games.

Almora is not hurt, he's playing well. Bryant is too.

Youre starting to get worried.

Also, as if you were responding normally, I didnt mean they all need to come up. I mean its time to start trying to win.

Now spin that.
