Yeah another team and supposed world class goalie discarded like a used condom on skid row courtesy of the Blackhawks.

Chus will be along shortly to tell us that the Hawks are losing their composure.

Pardon my Darren Rovell here, but think of how many millions of dollars impending UFA Ryan Miller just lost by shitting up the joint for a month.

You're my guy CH but lets take a look here.

Curious Hair wrote:
Just admit this isn't our year. St. Louis is going all in on this year, and the Hawks haven't beaten them once in three tries. The Hawks should still try their best and hope that the Blues crap out in the playoffs like they did the last two years, but they need to think about the long game here and not make big sacrifices to win a year that isn't theirs to win. It won't be worth it.

Hard to be optimistic with the Hawks' offense plummeting and a study from the NYT saying that goal scoring drops by about .08 per Olympian. which means we're on pace to score like 2.2 goals a game the rest of the way out.

Then this
Curious Hair wrote:
Miller was playing on the worst team of the salary cap era. I'm not sure whether you realize how bad Buffalo is. That he won 15 games is completely awe-inspiring.

Of course as usual Im the voice of reason in this whole mess
badrogue17 wrote:

And how do you know Miller won't shit the bed in the playoffs either. Easy to play with zero expectations in Buffalo. If indeed St Lou is " all in" this year, pressure is going to be enormous on him and I don't believe he's known as the most mentally tough goalie out there. Thats why they play the games CH. Lets see what happens.
Ill eat my smug pie now

It was aggravated Bob. He was slightly more sober than the last board members that were interviewed after a big sporting event.

You could actually understand what he was saying....

Had to install a water heater emergency style for me pops so the game was over when I left but had managed to avoid all scores and updates until I got home and watched the recording. Fuck yes. Awesome. God Damn 4 straight? Wow. Glad to beat saint Louis cause they're tough and evil and shit. Just a great way to close out the first round. The rest of the west can't be this hard can they?

I think they gonna have trouble with San Jose if they play them. Colorado is still a year or 2 away but they're coming hard and fast for sure. I think San Jose's experience will be tougher to overcome than Colorado's speed / youth.

After the first 2 games I was not so sure, but after the last 4 and watching these team come back time and time again I just do not think any of the other teams in the west can stop them in a 7 game series. I really think we maybe looking at a repeat of last year. Bruins and Hawks for the cup.

They have the resolve. If they can pull this off it is a true dynasty as Denis might say.
