In the span of two minutes I heard the classic "hang up on yourself" line, followed by him doing his thing where he, in a very soft and whiny voice, says "oh no" while the caller is still talking.

Sure minor league players exist. So do shoulder injuries. Major league players exist, three of whom were part of this trade, none of whom are distinguishing themselves. I suppose you could think holding a roster spot on arguably the worst team in baseball constitutes a good deal because there presence makes a high draft pick more likely.
