Someone just brought it up on Waddle & Silvy and they were less articulate than they usually are. Waddle tried to say he didn't read the whole quote, and Silvy said something along the lines of "I think all leagues should be equal..."

The caller said that an NBA executive promoting the view that a league should be created that only allows participation by one race is pretty offensive.

People aren't calling in droves to pretend to play in a poker tournament to get one over on Bernstein. C'mon, you can do much better than that.

Yes, Sterling should have been out of the NBA... 15 years ago. He's been a racist slumlord for as long as he's been a slumlord. Still doesn't mean we can't call for others of all stripes to be treated similarly.

I (unfortunately) caught the last hour of the show. They were patting themselves on the back for the yeoman's work they had done the past four hours setting everyone straight on what is racist or bigoted while completely ignoring their own racist/bigoted selves. It was enough for me to quit listening to their show forever. I'm sure I'll still tune in now and then, but I may just follow Danny's advice and listen to something else for a while.
