How unprofessional is it to wear a colored t shirt under a button down shirt sans tie?

Ive been doing it for years because I like to wear normal t shirts (not undershirts), but I feel like some of the stuffiest of the stuffy probably think its unprofessional

What say you?

It is ok if the undershirt matches the color of the shirt.

I think the official position is that the undershirt should not show. That is nearly impossible to do unless you are wearing a wife beater. My position is that it is better to wear an undershirt that shows than have no undershirt that puts your nipples on display like a pregnant bitch dog.

It depends on your office. I would vote against this but if your office is more informal it probably isnt the end of the world.

V neck undershirts are the way to go. You cant see it and when you get home you take off your work clothes and look like you are ready to beat your family.

No short sleeved dress shirts! I like to roll up my sleeves before I beat my family.

Undershirts = unnecessary laundry.

I can count on one hand how many times I've worn an undershirt.

I wear undershirts to tuck in so my belt doesn't bug me when I sit down.

You have it all backward. I can wear a dress shirt 2-3 times before washing. Could never do that without the undershirt.

I just cant stand the feel of a dress shirt on my torso

How else do you show off your gold Italian snaggletooth? I hope the paramedics didn't steal jimmypasta's when they took him to ER.

Yeah, that's what I mean. You can't be walking around the office with huge pit stains.

Colored undershirts sound ok to me. I wear white undershirts under all my shirts button down,
polo shirts and even t-shirts sometimes. I wear the lightweight stretchy Nike or Under Armor ones

Perfectly acceptable, as long as the color of the undershirt matches your boxers (assuming your office sags).
