Lisa Lampanelli is moving on. The comedian, 52, filed for divorce from her husband of close to four years, according to TMZ.
Lampanelli married Jimmy Cannizzaro in New York in October 2010. The so-called Queen of Mean met the bar owner in 2006. Though Lampanelli is known for her crude and often offensive humor, Cannizzaro told the New York Times at the time of their wedding, "She had the kindest eyes."
"I could tell we were talking in the same rhythm, we were having fun, we were laughing a lot," he said about the growth of their relationship. "It was like we’d always known each other, right from the beginning."
"He just seemed to have morals and character," Lampanelli said at the time of Cannizzaro. "He would be around a lot of good-looking chicks and never look at another girl, never say anything dirty."
Though their marriage is coming to an end, the pair intends to stay close. A rep for the funnywoman told TMZ that she and Cannizzaro just "weren't a match as man and wife."
Lampanelli, who recently shed more than 100 pounds after appearing on "The Celebrity Apprentice," added to TMZ, "We still call each other first when something great or horrible happens in our lives, and we expect that to continue."
