It wasn't just competitive. It was talk of how they are building a dynasty and every year they should be a playoff team and how they are stocking the minor league system with future talent.

Not from anyone objective around here. Again, you are taking the yappings of a couple or some idiot in the media and putting on the majority of Cub fans.

So, are you admitting that Theo isn't reinventing the wheel?

I never proclaimed he was reinventing the wheel, nor do I think any of the other objective cub fans around here have.

Add northside dan to the list.

What Cub fan around here has proclaimed he was re-inventing the wheel? And please do not give me Elmhurst Steve.

When people constantly say Theo is "doing it the right way" there is the implication that others are doing it the wrong way. The truth is, much more is made of each Cubs move. The Sox have turned over about half of their big league line-up since last July with talented young players. They may or may not work out, but we have to recognize that it can be done without a painful four year process of losing on purpose, don't we?

I think people saying he is doing it the right way has more to do with them saying Theo is doing it the way many fans have wanted the Cubs to do it for a long time instead of it saying that others such as Hahn are doing it the wrong way. Obviously there is more than one way to do things and have it find success.

I know I have wanted to see the Cubs stop trying to fix things on the fly for awhile and wanted to see them do a rebuild throughout the whole organization. I am happy to see them doing that. If that is considered losing on purpose so be it. I realize it is not a guarantee of anything. This very well may blow up in Theo's face. But I am willing to give him some time.

I like some of the things Hahn has done. I do not like the Santiago for Eaton deal. I think that one is going to be shown to be a bad one on his resume. But who really knows.

Almost as funny as the melt down of Sox fans last season when they realized they were the worst baseball team in Chicago.

If what the Cubs are doing is the right way, I don't want to see the wrong way.

The goal should be consistent playoff appearances. They are trying to stock the minor leagued with talent

Theo has had sucesss so hopefully it works out

I think Csfmb cub fans are taking shots that should be aimed at score hosts

I don't see a lot of dynasty or right way talk here. I do hear it on the Score

Because they've already accomplished something beyond A ball.

What's crazy about that?
It went further than goals. I'm sure the goal of the White Sox is to win multiple World Series. To say that Hahn is leading us on a path to win multiple World Series would be crazy. Maybe it is a lack of misunderstanding but for a long time it wasn't "Well, Theo is going to try really hard, and maybe if we get lucky we can make the playoffs in consecutive years". It was almost as if the plan was already working. I don't remember the exact date, but I had a conversation with IMU about how the Cubs future was much brighter than the Sox future simply because Theo was there. This was before the terrible season last year too so it wasn't just that the Sox currently looked like garbage.

It's just seemed that since the day that Theo has shown up that the "plan" was accepted as something that was basically a lock to take them to consistent playoff appearances.

The thoughts of most of the fans seems to have changed though. You can thank Frank, JORR, and me for that.

Trollin! Trollin!

Garcia will be back next year, Eaton has only been on the DL once so far thank you very much, and its Matt Davidson.

And with all that, the Sox are above .500 and the Cubs couldn't must up more than 1 run against the great Hector Noesi!

Even with all that, they are tied for a wild card spot.

Or Jordan.

At least Sox fans were smart enough to know that Davidson belongs in the minors for a bit, unlike Cubs fans who wanted Baez to be an everyday player this year.

Yeah, crazy to think a guy who hit 37 homeruns in AA and was ranked the #4 minor leaguer in all of baseball might be ready for the majors.

I feel Baez should be called up as a DH (if an interleague) for a series or two. He can't field worth a shit.

Lets remember this guy Hahn, is the same guy who decided to let A.J. go so that Flowers could take over as the starting catcher. Tyler Flowers had just completed a 2012 season in which he struck out in 41% of his at bats, and hit just .213. he failed miserably in 2013, hitting just .195, while striking out in 36% of his at bats. What does Hahn do.....sign's him to a new contract! He also signs Konerko to a new deal, even though he has Dunn as his DH and Viciedo who could play (and should play) that position if Dunn is hurt or needs a day off. He should have begun a rebuilding last season, rather than re-signing Peavy and keeping the team together as he did. The team would have probably had a better record and the rebuilding would have already begun. Instead he's doing a half-assed job doing a patchwork job and including guys like Konerko and Flowers that should have been eliminated from the equation.
Can we count the dumb statements in this one? I've got at least 4.

You base your expectations on being better than the Cubs? That's a high bar.
