I don't think anybody that eats gluten is poisoning themselves. I choose not to because I don't feel good after I eat it.

my wife and 3 daughters follow a gluten free diet. my wife breaks out when she eats wheat products. my youngest gets a rash when she eats it. and my middle daughter's athsma went away when it was taken from her diet. we did it for 2 months introduced it back in and all the problems resurfaced. myself and my oldest are uneffected.

i don't eat bread regularly only because i'm follow a semi strict eating plan that i've been on for the last 2 years (lost 60lbs) but still do whenever i feel like it.

my wife certainly doesn't expect anyone to provide that option ever. but many do and we thank them and remind them its not necessary.

my wife is currently on the "lets grind anything and everything available to see if it makes a reasonable substitute for wheat flour" kick. so far nothing. everything tastes like compost. she tried to feed me pizza made with a "cauliflour" crust. it was disgusting. the kids thought it was amazing.

yeah they use chebe stuff sometimes.

we tried kinnikinnik pizza crusts and the kids love them. you really wouldn't know if you ask me. i've had worse frozen pizzas.

I've never had that one, I usually make my own. It's different in some ways, but eating is as much of a habit as anything. The more you eat something, the more familiar it becomes and then it's not bad. I'd prefer to eat normal things but feeling like crap all the time was hard. You really have nothing if you don't have your health, I'd rather feel good than eat what I want and feel horrible.

I went to several. They referred me to each other for different tests at various times, gave me some medications, they gave up and dx'd it as stress and depression when nothing turned up.

apparently finding out you have celiacs is a completely painful process. our friends have a son who has celiacs. at least his doctor is willing to say so because he has the symptoms. the problem is for them to truly find out the test requires him getting super sick and experience immense pain which is never fun. especially for a small child. so the doctor was like, im kinda sure he's got it.

I had a bunch of dxs for a 6 month period, by about 5 different drs and specialists. They looked for a lot of things. I had an MRI, they did a some oscopys, they thought it was heartburn, ulcers, they looked for cancers, stomach issues, nothing turned up.

I don't know if an allergist would help because I don't know if I have an allergy or intolerance. I tested negative for the Iga blood test though. I could do more testing because those aren't always correct and there are a couple different tests. I would like to do one of those sensitivity tests though.

When we go out to dinner occasionally I will get what I want. I'm fine if it's small amounts, I just can't handle it if it's an everyday thing at every meal. Which also points more toward sensitivity. I don't really even know if it's the gluten or not. Because I eat less processed foods I also eat less chemical and refined sugar. It could be that. I just know since I eat better I feel better, which makes sense.

I'd say it is more likely that you are just eating better.

I mean, I can tell a difference when I eat pizza for four straight meals or where I have a salad and some skinless chicken too.
