I'm no accountant or charity operations manager...but those forms included in that Deadspin article - don't they support that Magic does give back?

They show that he is giving away 25% of what his charity brings in and we don't know where that 25% has gone. Magic's businesses have exploited the black community. I'm not saying he's a bad guy but just acknowledging there was a little truth to some of his statements.

I would be out of my element discussing this...but I'd like to know more.

It looks like he had his hand in various food and entertainment franchises, but in fairness...Starbucks exploits primarily white people and Burger King exploits the capability of the human digestive system.

The part I saw he was citing Magic's cheating on his wife and getting AIDS (Cooper pointed out it was just HIV and Sterling looked at him like he was crazy)

Racism is not funny. This situation though....is producing some gems

I don't know if exploited is the appropriate term.

I don't know what his finances look like in terms of giving back. I don't know if any of his money was invested in these businesses. However, he has facilitated investment in African American communities where, but for him, it was not likely to occur. That has value even if he also made money from the investment.

It's amazing he could make this situation so much worse.

Well yeah, catching HIV because of affairs outside of your marriage and possibly exposing your innocent wife to it doesn't exactly make that guy the pinnacle of virtue .

It seems lost on him that this all started because of the disloyalty of a pay for play girlfriend 60 years his junior who broke up his marriage.

Anyway, it isn't Magic on trial here. Magic could be the worst person in the world and it absolves Sterling of nothing.

Yeah, it seems like Sterling sees this as him against Magic

Some say Magic engineered this whole thing.

Anyway, I just got a kick out of Cooper thinking Sterling was gonna change or even acknowledge the difference between HIV and AIDS. Sterling's face was priceless.

I think they separated when Sitiviano was like a toddler.

This Anderson Cooper interview is amazing.

This guy is out of touch.

So there is just one guy who talks to himself at the league meetings, to his friends of 30 and 50 years, everyoned oesnt agree with him and he does everything by himself because of his point of view.

when you have real FU money, you do what you want and then have the lawyers sort it out

I know this is a few days old, but the Stiviano interview reads like a Micheal Scott interview about Todd Packer

Interviewer: Can you tell us about your relationship with him?

Micheal Scott: I'm his right-hand arm man. I'm his best friend, his confidant. His silly rabbit.

Interviewer: His what?

Micheal Scott: His silly rabbit.

Interviewer: Is that what he calls you?

Micheal Scott: No. I call me that myself.

Akward look at camera aaaaaand scene

Jan's lawyer: How long have you known Ms. Levinson?
Michael: Six years and two months.
Jan's lawyer: And you were directly under her the whole time?
Michael: That's what she said.
Jan's lawyer: Excuse me?
Michael: [slowly] That's what she said.

I don't know man...

Magic cons according to Donald Sterling:

He is black.
He banged a lot of women back in the day.

Both of those aren't really considered bad things in America.

Depends who you ask.

Lebron James said that he won't play next year if Donald Sterling is still an owner.

I guess there always is a silver lining!

I agree what a dumb thing to say, so if it is held up in litigation and there is not a damn thing the NBA can do, he is just not going to play, stupid.

The dumber thing was saying that his wife couldn't be an owner either.
