Bernstein called Kane a "playoff legend".

WHAT. DOES. THAT. MEAN?

I thought clutch didn't exist?

There is another reference. Mac was told not to talk about certain things about other shows (Mully).

Is that right? I cant say, but Id think Bernstein would hate him because he gets a lot of credit for not striking out

He had a real good year in 2012. Other than that he's been pretty average to bad.

It seems to be very popular in the north shore to send kids to sleep away camp for month(s) during the summer. I don't get that. That is the best time of year for me with my family. Our relationship is low stress because of grades and schoolwork. The days last well into the evening hours. Every night has the opportunity to do something fun together. I would not trade that time for any other life enrichment afforded by sleep away camp.

There will be a time in the very near future where we will all be apart and able to do our own things.

I really hate to reference anyone's kid but you can see the result of all of this 20 years down the line, unless the kids are strong willed and rebel against their father.

I would have absolutely HATED being sent to camp as a kid, so I would never do it to mine. Though I'm sure some kids would love it.

It must be some sort of traditional thing. At most when I was young you would go to scout camp two weeks tops and likely a parent went as well. Out here I zero kids that go to camp other than a one week or less sports camp.

All the Jewish kids I grew up with went away to camp. Generations upon generations attend the same camps. It's like family for them.

I view it as a reinforcement of the social hierarchies created in school. I cannot imagine having to break from school only to have to live with that 24/7.

I was talking with a divorced woman this weekend. She "gets" her kids every second weekend. As soon as school is out they are off to camp for 1-2 months. That seems like a lot of time for others to be teaching life lessons.

Agree. 100%.

My daughter has done very well in school despite her mother's ambivalence. So getting a few months off from making sure everything is in order on her mother's end is very welcomed.

Also, not worrying as much about bedtimes makes fun activities easier. Childhood is not as carefree as advertised year round, but in the summer you catch up on that

You gotta be careful criticizing parents nowadays...lot of sensitive peoples out there...but yeah, it's no wonder there are so many messed up people around.

Totally agree, GD. 100%.

Say what you will but going by how he talks on the air and his TWITTER BRAGGING...Dan is a TERRIBLE father!!!! He is setting his kids up to be snobs, whimps, and bullied. If you think it would GO ANY OTHER WAY please...tell me! Eventually someone will kick the mini mini Bernsteins ass for his own arrogant comment or the his mini old man's. Please understand I am not wishing for it...though I would not be surprised by it.

I think this "Dan is a terrible father" tack is pretty out of bounds. Maybe there are some decisions that seem strange to us, but it's hardly bad parenting.

Exactly. Hopefully his kids don't grow up thinking they can treat people the way their asshole Father does.

or believing the shit their father says/writes about them in public

Everyone should think his kid is great. Everyone should also understand no one is interested in hearing about another person's kids.

Here is a handy list of topics no one else wants to talk about for those socially awkward types out there:

1. your fantasy football team
2. your golf game
3. your kids
