Which team would the Hawk rather play or are they all telling the truth that it doesnt matter because they are so similar?

They're not similar. The Ducks have a deep group of forwards and had the best scoring in the league. The Kings have a crappy bottom six and some of the league's worst scoring. The Ducks are coached to be creative on offense; the Kings have all the creativity of a battering ram. The Hawks regularly beat the Kings; they don't regularly beat the Ducks.

So we would like LA to win the game is what you are telling me that not one guy wanted to say today, but it's what they are thinking.

Yes. No one wants to get caught choosing their battles, but obviously, you want to stay home between now and Sunday and play your first two games with last change, especially against a team you're known to fare better against.

Win or lose tomorrow, the Kings just winning Game 6 made a big difference for the Hawks. Had they lost, the series likely would have started on Friday night. That bought the Hawks days of critical rest. Now if the Kings win, that means swinging the pendulum from going to Anaheim for Friday night to staying at home through Sunday afternoon.

Not only are the Ducks better than the Kings, but the Hawks get home ice with the Kings. I'd have to think every single player would rather face the Kings. The Hawks have been unbeatable at home.

Rozner had a good point today about Gibson's amazing economy of movement. Quick is a spaz. He's a tremendous goalie, but he makes hard work look hard. Gibson makes hard work look easy. That's scarier to me, not even getting into the fact that we know Quick has struggled with the Hawks.

I'd bet on the Kings winning. Justin Williams is unstoppable in Game 7s.

I think the Hawks can beat either team. I want the Kings for home ice.

The one thing that's interesting about the Ducks is that their blue line is not that great. Cam Fowler is a beast, but Ben Lovejoy is just a former Penguins flunky. Francois Beauchemin is a solid veteran, but Hampus Lindholm has been a bit shaky in his rookie year. Bryan Allen is a lunkhead.

That offense is dazzling, though. Getzlaf, Perry, Selanne, Koivu, Cogliano, Bonino, Palmieri, Winnik. They can do some damage.

King. Home ice and they are beat up. Ducks are gonna be a problem even with the kid goalie.

Yeah, 14 games of the Kings running full-force into anything that might be a human doesn't bode well for them going forward.

I honestly think we can rattle the kid with a tremendous amount of shots.

Tremendous amount of shots? Are the Hawks still capable of that?

If we play the Ducks I can guarantee Smith-Pelley is going to be a pain in our ass. He is Anaheim Haula with his endless motor and being at the right place at right time.

Speaking of right place/right time, we gotta get Shaw back by Game 3.

The Jason Bernstein angle just makes me sick.

For the guy who has a point of advice for everyone on the planet, Danny should wise up and stop making his kid sound like some superior sports intellect for the peforming of mundane tasks, such as seeing who will be handling the puck or who it will be passed to next.

"Centering" the puck doesnt really take the crystal ball...or puck.

Of course nothing better than 'yeah, guys are already trying to get him to go to goalie camp!"

NO THEY ARENT! NOBODY IS PAWNING OVER THE OFFSPRING OF 2 JEWISH PARENTS NEITHER OVER 5'6" TO PLAY ANY SPORT.

I have yet to see Danny over at BASH, but next time I do I will remind him of the best baseball player he ever knew growing up, who happen to play on my softball team. The guy was a great player, but the best player he ever saw played some college baseball and went away....or to my softball team. Played 30 over league ball with the guy and he is really good, but just shows how good a top level player is that this guy could even get there. he was no Larry Rubin!

I would guess game 1

Haha, yeah really. Kid was born about forty years too late to make it as a goalie. There will come a day -- we're almost there already -- where everyone who plays the position will have to look like Pekka Rinne or Ben Bishop. Doesn't mean he can't play and have fun, but he has about four years until the game drives him to tears.

He will make kid stop when the coach or youth organization suggests he should probably try playing defense.

LOL, that's what I was thinking as I typed it.

Sometimes goalies can't skate. Don't know their situation.

I'm sure "no skating positions" was part of the deal, which is fine. Why risk the concussion?

Getzlaf's a fucking beast. I'd rather not face him.

It happens very little at their level. Hockey players should know how to skate.

The obvious answer is the Kings. Home ice, a team that has played two 7 game series and nobody has said that traveling from LA to Chicago with only about 36 hours between games should ensure Game 1.

I see a Jewish Olympic Games coached by former gold medalist Shakes in young Jason's hockey future
