Yeah, I think this thread is off target here. DB nomination should go to whoever decided to pay Warrant that much money.

plus we haven't even seen their tour rider...i bet they want the dressing room stocked with cases of Busch light and cartons of Winstons

The rider was ridiculous. They went and bought all of this shit to have backstage and they never even came to the venue. The closest hotel was a Super 8 and they were having no part of that, so they had to put them up at some "nicer" place in Peoria.

I don't pretend to know what the contract was, but they got paid and didn't play. The room is one of the best sounding rooms I've even been too, the stage was set with top shelf musical equipment and all they had to do was play for whatever amount of time they wanted to. They could have been heroes...

Maluku, next time just hire MFD for a lot less.

Frank would've done it for a box of Sylvania's, Darkside for the latest Avaya IP phone, and Doug for a few cans of Copenhagen.

Maluku that was very cool of you to play. I grew up in Washington but I wasn't able to go. And if you played at the limelight, that is an awesome place.

If there were legal action by you, it would probably go down Judge Judy style...

I am not a lawer but do work in contract law. Given Warrant's drug use and IQ, they may not have had the capacity to contract. That's your "in" Makalu.

Don't think so. BigFan might've mentioned pittmike inquiring about the availability of the utahmike moniker.

The concert was originally planned as an outdoor event in Washington, but two weeks ago, after getting some complaints from residents, city officials pulled the permit. The promoter, Chris Lancaster, contacted the owners of Freakster’s Roadhouse in Pontiac to see if they could host the event instead

I would be interested in knowing what prompted these residents to complain so much that permits were pulled for a concert that would have benefited their own tornado-leveled town.

Warrant had a clause in their contract that they get paid before they play.

Promoters paid 80% with a promise to pay the rest later

Warrant are assholes, but when the promoters write a message saying "we didnt see the contract" that's on them.
