Lohse vs. Samardzija
Garza vs. Jackson
Estrada vs. Wood

Cubs continue their "successful" season in nabbing the 1st pick by snagging the 1st and dropping the next two.

For the love of God the Cubs need to cancel today's game. I don't want to sit in fucking snow.

Come look for me in the Captain Morgan club before the game and I'll buy you a Green Line.

For sure. I'm taking my "little" brother so hopefully they'll let him in too. Otherwise I'll tell him to grab a bobblehead and stake out our seats

Okay. I'll be wearing a black knit cap with a Superman logo.

I'll be there tomorrow and it looks decent weather wise. I'll be taking 3 Brewers fans so I have that going for me.

I had tickets for today or tomorrow but passed them on. Instead...6/7. Should be warmer, I doth pray.

  So they finally get "hard luck" pitcher Samardzija 3 runs and he gives up 4 through 3 innings.

To be fair, the guys trying to play defense did not help him out.

Think its any coincidence that some pitchers can pitch around errors and some cant? The guy just isn't a winner, he's John Danks with a fastball.

That's why I still say his teammates hate him, they only scored after he already gave up 4.

Do you think he'd still be losing with a good/great team?

I agree with you to a point. I dont think he'll ever be a big winner, but I dont think he's neccessarily one of the "cant break .500 guys" (Vazquez, Jackson etc)

He'd win a good amount of games with good team. He'd be a fine #2. He'll just never be Steve Carlton

I think he's exactly EJax or Vazquez. Good team, 15-11 3.3 ERA WHIP 1.3 to 1.5. Think JORR said his ceiling is probably AJ Burnett. I doubt he's even that and AJ Burnett has played on some good teams and is 14 over .500 for his career.

We'll see

I bet he ends up significantly over .500 for his career. He's 9 under right now

Now that he has no chance to win, let's see if they score some more.

Him not winning isn't enough. They want him to lose.

Castro would be my #1 suspect of someone who hates Shark and he cost Shark an unearned run, go figure.

Yea. Thanks.

The wife really wants the kids to see Wrigley. I said OK but when we go to a Sox game, which we will, the kids will never want to go back to that dump.

The good thing is there's no way they will make it through the entire game.

Cubs marketing should incorporate this into a contest or slogan. "The 2014 Cubs, no way you'll make it through 7 "

I wonder if Garza is keeping a log of all the wins he's lost with the Brewers. Nice game Matty, you lost to a shitty team and career mediocrity leader Edwin Jackson. Fucking loser piece of shit

Edwin Jackson is shockingly statistically superior to Garza right now. I wonder if he shaving cream pied his ole boy EJax after the game.

Thanks to JORR for the nice seats. Billy Williams was sitting 3 rows behind us. Been a long time since I had
been to Wrigley and I never had seats that close to the field. Good to see them win a series for once.

I'm glad you had at least decent weather. It probably still could have been a little warmer.

Note to self.... A 16 yr old girl and 10 yr old boy not best to bring. Mom took the boy to the bathroom and
thought she lost him. I had to go in there to see what happened. He was waiting for a stall which is what I
had guessed. Hey, it took me a good 25 seconds to get a stream going at the trough!
