Besides basketball, I don't think Terry watches 1 minutes of sports. All the guy does is agree with Dan and make general statements. Fire Terry and team Les Grobstein with Dan haha

I think you have to give a shit first and I don't think Terry's done that for years. He'll randomly light up about certain subjects before giving up and reverting to unintelligible mumbling.

How do you know? ?

If that's true, his time to display that knowledge is between 2 and 6!

His muttering, dodering old man act has been going on now for at least 5 years.

Are you referring to the things we hear from Terry? Because for more than several years he has been unable to do anything other than nod along with Dan or provide generalities that anyone with a basic knowledge of sports could give without having watched anything. When pressed for details or a substantive opinion, he has nothing.

He is the least informed sports personality I've ever listened to or watched.

What an unusual topic. I find it shocking that no one ever talked about this before. odd.

TQ and LYK are right, though in LYK's post I'd also say he's the least interesting in terms of contributions to a discussion or debate. On second thought, that's pretty much what TQ said, so in a way I just pulled a Boers I guess.

So, his schtick as a radio host is to add absolutely nothing of value to nearly every conversation?

Ingenious.

What part is the shtick? [Feigned] ignorance? I think most would see that. What's under attack here is his failure to add anything substantive to the show during sports discussions.

This guy I work with is lazy, mentally unavailable, uninformed, and really just terrible at his job. It's his schtick, though, so it's okay.

Not following you here...are you saying the Penn state stuff was great sports talk during the quick year or so they spent discussing it?

I think he may be saying he had a neutral position on child rape until Terry told him it was bad.

Whenever Dan and Terry discuss the sports Terry watches, it always gets back to "west coast baseball". Terry claims the late night games interest him, but I don't buy it. The guy is old, and those games start at like 9:30 Chicago time. I'm guessing after he comes upstairs at 6 after doing the show, he and Peach eat their pot roast, watch one episode of Matlock, and that's all she wrote.

I also think the reason he says he likes "west coast baseball" is because very few of his listeners stay up late and follow those games themselves. It allows him to talk out of his ass (which he's good at) and really not have anybody be able to call him on it.

He must have had good show prep that day. Most other days he avoids being right or wrong by simply not taking a position on anything.

Looking for someone to provide sports analysis on Dan Bernstein's Personal Crusade Afternoon Drive Time Smile Factory™ is a fool's errand.

He might be the type that does watch West Coast baseball. Maybe he doesn't go to bed until 3 am. Wakes up just in time to start the show.

Dan broke Terry's will a few years ago. When Berns took his nonsense to the next level, Terry didn't have the fight in him to stay true to his positions & opinions. It's too bad because if he did this show could have been great.
