Kings PK = grab guys without the puck and hold them back

Stuff like this is why there's only a total of 8 shots a game

Why don't they just blow the whistle when the puck gets within three feet of the goal because, hell, they might lose sight of it for a half-second .....

These refs stink. We get them for the whole series, too.

How do they determine who refs the playoff series?

I'm guessing it has to do with performance reviews as they go. I wouldn't expect these dopes to work the Final at this rate.

Now that was pretty.

What a terrible spot to be in for a goalie. Guy had hossa to one side and Toews to the other!

Doughty was invisible today. Great way to take ownership and crush their souls in the third.

Seeing Drew Doughty always makes me think that some crappy metal band is missing a roadie.

Good win. Strong showing from the Kings that didn't turn into a win for them, gotta like that, but clearly they are not to be trifled with.

I actually came away Les Impressed with them than I was before. I thought they were better than what they showed but it looks same as last year. They muck up the neutral zone a lot looks like or teams are on to what the Blackhawks do and are better at stopping them at the expense of their own offense. Crawford had to be good today but the Kings offense doesnt scare me. know they're pretty resilient so even if we win the first 2 its gonna get tough in LA . I don't know , I just thought the game was kinda meh today, hope the play gets better .

I think he's their best player by far when he's healthy.

The more I see him the more I think his ceiling is Brian Campbell. He's never going to be a great defensive defenseman but man the way he skates I wish he were more effective offensively. At least Campbell put up numbers. Looks like Leddy isn't going to take that next step. Still getting benched in playoff games. I know he's young but he's had 3 full seasons and if anything I think he's regressed a bit. Am I the only one that sees this?

Here’s the league’s … interesting explanation:

At 3:22 of the second period in the Los Angeles Kings/Chicago Blackhawks game, the referee consulted video review to see if Jonathan Toews’ initial shot entered the Los Angeles net. It was determined Toews’ initial shot did not enter the net. The referee’s original call on the ice was “good goal” but a discussion between the on-ice officials resulted in a “no goal” decision because Toews made incidental contact with Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick before the puck crossed the goal line. This is not a reviewable play therefore the decision on the ice stands – no goal and no penalty.

The fact that Voynov tipped it in should, by rights, override any incidental contact prior to the goal. Otherwise, whenever there's a scrum in front of the net, you could just kick it in your own goal, have the goal washed out for incidental contact, and take a draw at center ice.

It seems like they are saying they were reviewing one reviewable thing, but then discussed another. That's bullshit. They reviewed and unreviewable play. That happened.

I mentioned the other day that I thought he regressed a bit this season, and has been shaky in the playoffs. Although for the most part I thought Campbell was overrated (he's soooo FAST!!! ) , I never worried about his puck handling. Leddy still gives me the willies when he gets the puck, because he is still prone to a horrible pass, or worse, a neutral-zone turnover, plus I think he, like Oduya, shies away from hits too easily. Doesn't give me the warm-and-fuzzies when my defensive-oriented defenseman has trouble bringing a puck out of the zone, can't pass for shit, doesn't hit, and is not much of a shot-blocker.
