None of it is. Maybe Hendry told him/signed him in order to be the leadoff hitter. If that was the case, that isn't being selfish either.

Even if he did, batting lead off was sqaurely in the "good for Alfonso" "not good for the team" column.

Look, the guy had some selfish tendencies. He's not the biggest prick ever, but he wasnt the most admirable guy ever either.

That's probably the best way of putting it. Add that to him being one of the faces of a failed era and he's earned my disdain. And then you have all the media pansies today lecturing fans to not boo. I've shifted my reason for booing to just spite those self righteous fucks.

I think you should run on the field, you 2 need to hug it out.

Sori is ok in my book. He wasn't nearly as bad as that contract made him look. History will show it to be a shit ton better than the contacts the Angels gave Pujols and Hamilton.

Yeah. Pujols is doing decent this season but on the whole that contact (and the Hamilton one) are brutal.

Fans should be able to look at Soriano's tenure objectively by now. He was above average or better in most seasons...with a couple of really good years. As I said earlier, if you switch his annual salaries from being backloaded to frontloaded...the salaries would match his performance a lot better.

Very surprised they have Lake and Olt in the lineup against Tanaka. What's the single game strikeout record?

Jim Deshaies just used "looking for chink in the armor" when discussing Tanaka's possible weaknesses.

Oh boy.

Dude, you beat me to it. My 5 year son asked me what chink in hammer meant.

Heard that also, might get interesting around here. I'm guessing someone releases a statement eventually.

Girardi needs to juice up or something. He looks like a stroke out there in uniform.

Anyone see that chick with the white spaghetti strap tank top behind home plate when Girardi came out? If she would just face the camera I would have enough content to complete my night.

Ollt got on base

9 of his first 18 hits were homers. He's only been literally on the bases 9 times.

There are improvements that need to be made. Even his walk rate is low compared to his minor league numbers and his scouting reports as a prospect.

I feel as if he will improve as this season goes on...but I still don't seem him being an integral part of the future. Unless Baez tanks and teams only give lowball offers to the Cubs.

This is pretty bullshit. Just play a doubleheader tomorrow. They're in chicago for another 4 more days. What a horseshit decision.

Look at that sac fly by Olt!!!

They don't need to play a DH. This game is legal.

I'm not saying beating Tanaka is exactly like 1980 US Hockeys victory over Russia

But it pretty much is

Renteria over-managing. He should have let Ramirez finish it.
