Or not.

Dan's in. Terry's out. Rozner in.

Lovely transition banter.

Hockey, Football, Baseball, ... these are just three sports that exist in our world. They might also be a topic for a segment or two.

I'm waiting for a nice Mexican pal down the way to bring me some steak tacos so I'm more interested in thinking about their deliciousness than I am writing a show thread intro that nobody wants to read.

Hallelujah. Holy shit. Where's the Tylenol?

Man, I see in the B&B ALS the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see it squandered. God damn it, an entire generation of SEC football, Red Sox/Yankees – slaves with Bristol collars. ESPN has us chasing Lebron and Tebow, listening to hosts we hate so we can watch shit we don't need to. We're the middle listeners of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no 85 Bears. No Jordan dynasty. Our great war is a spiritual war. Our great depression is our lives. We've all been raised by the booyahs to believe that one day we'd all be cheering for the Patriots, and the NFL draft, and Fantasy Football, but we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off.

It's a movie quote. Re-imagined for the sports talk radio fan.

Given the author, I will assume it's from the Fast and the Furious series.

This is too rich. Bernsie trying to tell Rozner about putters and quick twitch muscles. Rozner says you are wrong and we are going to have an argument. For chrissakes Terry should do this.

Dan is an admitted bad golfer and Rozner is pretty good yet Bernsie can't help himself and tells Barry he is wrong
about his golf thoughts. The show has been good thus far though.

Did Dan just say that his college roommate used Axe body spray? Dan was in college from '87-'91 and I don't think Axe was around then.

*EDIT* I guess I wasn't the only one who thought that.

Funny how Dan gets all pissy when people question every little thing he says.

Although Axe's lead product is the fragranced aerosol deodorant body spray, other formats of the brand exist. Within underarm care the following are available: deodorant aerosol body spray, deodorant stick, deodorant roll-on, anti-perspirant aerosol spray (called Axe Dry), and anti-perspirant stick (also called Axe Dry).

From its launch, the annual fragrance variant has played a key part in the success of the brand by offering something new each year. The type of fragrance variants have evolved over time. From 1983 until about 1989, the variant names were descriptions of the fragrances and included Musk, Spice, Amber, Marine, and Oriental.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axe_body_spray

Axe was launched in France in 1983 by Unilever. It was inspired by another of Unilever's brands, Impulse.[citation needed]

Unilever were keen to capitalize on Axe's French success and the rest of Europe from 1985 onwards, later introducing the other products in the range. Unilever were unable to use the name Axe in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand due to trademark problems so it was launched as Lynx.[1]

The European launch of the deodorant was followed by success in Latin America and moderate impact in Asia and Africa. In the new millennium, the brand has launched with great success in the United States and Canada.

To think Dan may have roomed with some pretentious Caller Bob who imported their bad body spray from across the pond in the late 80s is not entirely implausible.

I know. Most of what he complains about is a "WHY DO YOU CARE?" complaint. Most of what all of us complain about regarding entertainment are "WHY DO YOU CARE?" complaints.

Dan's use of "You're going to die soon." as a retort to people who don't share his opinion about something (really important things, like baseball metrics and Blackhawks fandom) is ugly and unfortunate.

Thanks for more daily affirmation of why I do not listen to this show. Why do I care? Well, I don't. Go Cubs.

Listening to Dan talk about how he has to have a hot fudge sundae and other foods prepared, he really is Meg Ryan from When Harry Met Sally.

Man, he sure sounded like a pain in the ass as a kid. At least his life has been consistent.

Danny Bernstein, from Deerfield, Illinois. And I want hot fudge on the side, and No. Damn. Corn. In. My. Apple. Pie.

I would not be surprised if, unbeknownst to Li'l Danny, his babysitters and possibly his parents put much worse than corn in his apple cobbler.

Bedtimes. Don't. Matter. And all the people who think they do are dying off anyway.
