5/22: Arrieta (0-0) vs Stults (2-4)
5/23: Jackson (3-3) vs Erlin (3-4)
5/24: Wood (4-4) vs Roach (1-0)
5/25: Hammel (5-2) vs Kennedy (2-6)

Had no idea Ian Kennedy was on the Padres. I thought he was still on the Snakes and was out the year with TJ or something. We won't see our boy Cashner as a MRI revealed "soreness and irritation". Injury concerns were a reason why he was traded but don't tell good dolphin. Cubs lead into the 7th in all 4 games and lose 3 of othem.

bigfan has Cashner with an expected injury 3 years ago.

Pure retrofitting an argument. Rizzo was an affirmative move by this group. That is fairly indisputable.

I guess the Padres valued him so much that they only asked for a guy with injury concerns.

Enjoy all the walks from your expected power hitter and designated guy to drive in runs.

Well he did make only one start in 2011 before getting shut down until September with a rotator cuff injury.

No need to take your Abreu frustrations out on Rizzo. No one forced the Sox to sign a "27" year old with a degenerative ankle.

Abreu is going to miss 15 games and all likely hood still be ahead of Rizzo in RBIs, HRs, doubles, total bases, slugging, OPS, and will be very close in batting avg and WAR when he comes back. Green fits for a Packer fan, but not for a Cubs fan.

Rizzo is "Fools Gold". Just when you think you've seen everything in baseball, I watched 2 consecutive HBP's turn into 2 swinging strikes!!! Only a Cub!

They won't be close in batting average either as the Rizzo swoon has been going on for weeks. The guy was hitting well into the .300s and has downward trended since...but hey, he is getting on base with those bunts against the shift and walks.

Rizzo gets on base again. This time allows the pitch to hit him instead of swinging finally. Good dolphin disapproves. If only he could rake as well as Abreu is on the DL.

Don't be mad your guy lost the far superior debate and has left you resorting to making fun of injuries.

Just stating what going on. One player is contributing the other is not.

And by any type of measure Abreu has already contributed more than Rizzo this year even with the missed games. He's just a better player.

Rizzo 2-run bomb. 8)

If only he was able to hit at a hitters park like Petco 81 times a year.

Rizzo! Far superior tools.

That was a home run in any ballpark ever.

Anthony Rizzo:
Avg: .275
OBP: .410
SLG: .463
OPS: .873
HR: 8

Joey Votto:
Avg: .257
OBP: .410
SLG: .449
OPS: .859
HR: 6

I believe RPB or IMU said young Joey Votto. Not a bad call so far.

I understand you've moved on from complaining about Sox trolling to doing your own but please don't go down this road. It was a dumb thing to say. That is unless you think Rizzo is a future MVP.

Whats going on is that Abreu is going to miss ~15 games and still be "out producing" Rizzo when he comes off the DL.

Since more Sox fans seem to post in the Cubs section..........

Why are so many Sox fans not Chicago Bears fans?
The fact that:
Bears played in Wrigley?
Da South Side NFL Chicago Cardinals were their rival? Really....maybe gramps but you still?
Being a Sox fan is more about being the "anti" guy?
Something else?

It seems like they're all Bulls fans and most are Blackhawks fans but I don't get the Bears hate?

Abreu presence has made every Cuban on the team instantly better. He contributes with his mystical island ways even when not playing

For less than two months, this year, they are comparable. Their first 1200 MLB PA's when compared is ridiculous. This is a very stupid comparison to make. Don't you stat guys value sample size? Or is that only when it is convenient?

Hence the qualifier and hedge when Steve Stone said "EVENTUALLY Abreu will be the far superior player"

Huh? It's a terrible comparison "so far". And I already explained why. Look at how many PA Rizzo has so far and compare that to Votto at the same point in his career. There is a "vast difference" by IMU's own scale. This is pretty simple stuff

If he ever gets off the DL with his degenerative ankle.

I'm begging someone to answer this question. I don't think I'll be able to function this weekend without some sort of clarification.
