His best quality IMO was that he was proactive. He never once said "let's sit around and see how this plays out". He acted and reacted to every bit of information he got and every instance of paranoia that overcame him unlike 99% of the people who play this game.
I thought he played a very good game. He clearly played the best one. His path to winning was just far more lucky than most others who were the best. Tony put himself in horrible positions multiple times. The fact that everyone is bashing Woo for his million dollar mistake is evidence of this.

I think the strategic nature of the other players was pretty low this season. Kass was mostly stupid too and playing the same "random move" game that Tony seemed to play. Spencer was probably the most strategic but he started down in numbers and couldn't overcome the fact that in order to keep himself alive he had to play well enough to be too big of a threat at the end. He's probably one immunity challenge away from winning it all though but lots of players in past seasons have said that.

Tony clearly deserved to win but I've seen plenty of other similar games where the person doing that loses because of the same mistakes.

I thought Tony might suffer the "Russel Hanz" syndrome, where he basically lied the whole time, but the people got all butt hurt and burned him. Very entertaining year. I keep waiting for the dropoff, but the show is still awesome, IMO...

The thing is Tony had some semblance of a social game and the capacity to not be a complete prick to everyone else out there, two things Russell certainly lacked.

I enjoyed this season a lot, but I'm in the minority that pretty much enjoys new player seasons more than those featuring returnees. I was a little disappointed not to see Kass get ripped a new one in front of the jury since that was where the season seemed to be heading from the start, but I suppose there was a bit more drama the way it played out. Tyler Perry and his dumb overpowered idol can go straight to hell, and so can Probst's pandering ass.

On Tony's overall game, while he was great TV, I have a hard time considering him one of the best winners ever or anything like that. He made reckless fancy play moves when he should have very well been in cruise control after Kass sided with his team at the merge (and I'd say that was the biggest move of the season, and the credit goes to Trish and not Tony for making it happen). Otherwise, the minority frequently preyed on his emotions and got him to make some potentially catastrophic moves repeatedly. The LJ boot was fine, the Trish boot questionable, and the Jefra one was a mistake IMO.

I finally got a chance today to watch the finale. I really enjoyed this season. I thought it was one of the better ones they have had for awhile.

I think Tony played a great game. He played a Russell like game but used some brains and did not grow comfortable thinking it was all his.

I was pulling for Spencer. I cannot believe he lost that puzzle challenge to Kass.

This season was meh to thumbs down. Dumbest final four I've seen in a while. Even after the explanation, I still don't see how it makes sense, other than Jaclyn is a terrible player (which is true of course.) At the same time, she didn't have a chance to win either way, so maybe she doesn't care - maybe she is trying to help out the one who helped her, but if you go into a final three and basically you were gifted that spot by one of the other three, you aren't going to make a strong case for the million... I would have said bye Nat, and taken my chances with Keith... I still think Keith would have won, but maybe it isn't a slam dunk.

The "wicked stepmother" speech Reed gave to Baylor's mom at the final made the season worth watching. Both the girlfriend and myself were applauding at the tv.

The fact she made it to the final three was very dissapointing.

Season overall was meh, but you can't call the final four the dumbest you've seen in a while when it had Nat in it. She was one of the most satisfying and deserving winners ever. Played a great game and played the game the right way. Fully embraced that for a prize that big you need to work for it which she did.

I meant the dumbest decision making I have seen in a while. You let the person who made the last big move into the final three? What's your argument going to be going into it - I deserve it even though I was brought to the final four solely by this other person and basically owe them for being able to sit here? At least Jaclyn could make a reasonable case against Keith, but it is never going to happen against Nat.

yea my favorite part of the final 4 was when Nat gave her final 3 speech to the jury about how she deserved to win and that dumb tall hot bitch still didn't vote her out.

Another good season. Keith was the biggest difference maker in the game but not by skill. I still would have enjoyed him winning.

I'm glad Nat won. She deserved it. She turned it on more than anyone I remember in this show. For the first 2/3rds of the season she seemed like she was there for the ride. Then all of a sudden she outmaneuvered people who seemed like the dominant players of the game.
