Yes, as in lame Sports Talk radio, via Harry and Spike.

But he called in Saturday morning to the Connor McDoink show for a pretty cool story about Joe Pepitone.

he was at the HOF in Cooperstown and the old guys that run the place are aloways walking around telling stories.

so, some guy walks up to him and says 'did you know Joe Pepitone is in the hall displays twice!"

So he walks him over to the bat Mickey Mantle used for his 500th HR...and it says PEPITONE on it, because Mick was a little hungover, grabbed the wrong bat and Boom! The Bat goes to cooperstown

years later, Pepitone just trying to stay in the Major leagues has a cup of coffee with ATL. Hank Aarons shoes didnt feel good, so he asks Pepitone if he has some extra shoes, so Pep gives him his shoes and BOOM, Record Breaking HR! Shoes say PEP on the back on the shoes in the HOF.

Addtionally, the old guy claims they only display about 10% of what they have because they dont have room.

Would be cool if MLB actually stepped in and made a big donation to make that place the shrine it should be.

It pretty much is a shrine. It is a located in a quaint town in the middle of nowhere, inaccessible by any major expressway. It is located in a beautiful building that looks like something from the federal era, like Freedom Hall in Philadelphia. I would highly recommend the trip. There are lots of things to do for people who don't like baseball in and around the town.

It's a bitch to get to but unlike a place like Canton, there is much more to the trip than simply the Hall.
