Keyser, I just was looking at the Arkansas stats and this jumped out at me. Trey Killian is 2-8 as a starter. He has 2.42 era and his whip is 1.

Killian has really pitched well this season. The offense is so Jekyll and Hyde it's almost hard to believe. They'll score 1 run, 3 runs then 10 runs.

They need a series win this weekend against A&M and I read Beeks is out with a sore arm.

Yes he is, they could actually really use a sweep this weekend and next against Missouri.

The Big 10 tournament kicks off Wednesday in Omaha, NE. Indiana is the top seed, Nebraska #2 and Illinois #3. Illinois needs a deep run for any chance of receiving an at large bid to the NCAA tournament.

That was a big win for your Hogs, Hawger. They're a lock for the tourney and with another win they could get a favorable seeding.

I forgot they were even playing last night, that is very good to read though. They have been playing better of late.

Yeah they get Aaron Nola today. I don't think they start televising the games until the weekend which really sucks.

Illinois lost to Michigan St yesterday 2-1 and play Ohio St at 9am today in an elimination game.

They are actually starting to hit a little bit, if they can just scratch across a few runs it should be enough. Their pitching is just filthy.

Keyser tough loss yesterday, they gave up 7 2 out runs, which are just back breakers. Come back this afternoon against Ole Miss in a elimination game.

That was a tough matchup with Beeks out and facing the best pitcher in the country. They did what they had to do but it would be nice to get another win today.

Illinois was crushed by Michigan St 11-1. Barring a minor miracle the loss will end the Illini's season.

The Field of 64 has been announced. Oregon St, Florida, Virginia, Indiana, Florida St, Louisiana-Lafayette, TCU and LSU are the National Seeds. Louisville is hosting a regional. Arkansas is a #2 seed in the Virginia Regional. The SEC has 10 teams in the Field. No teams from Illinois made the field.

They didn't get the best seeding in the world but I understand it was very difficult to fit all the SEC teams into regionals without playing each other. Virginia was the #1 ranked team for much of the year but they haven't been playing very well lately losing their final series against Wake Forest and going 1-2 in the ACC Tournament. Liberty could a sneaky #3 as they were briefly a ranked team during the middle of the regular season until they also ran into hard times.

We know what Arkansas has to do. If the offense shows up they can beat any team in the country. I did see that Jalen Beeks will be back for the Regionals so that should provide a nice lift.

It looks like we're going to get that first game against Liberty on TV. I figure they have to go with Killian, right?

No. 2 Arkansas (38-23) vs. No. 3 Liberty (41-16), 7 p.m., ESPNU

I did see where Beeks will be back and yes I would be shocked if it wasn't Killian. Now, if I can just remember this is on Friday night.
