RReader, if you're reading this, did you hear about the 7 people shot at the laundromat on 79th and Marquette? I used to wash clothes there every now and then when I lived that way. They had free dryers, which was always a thing.
Actually heard the shots(But for that, it was actually a relatively quiet night & the sound carried well). Didn't pay them much attention & virtually never go within 3-4 blocks of that immediate area. It was hell when I was a yout (early 80's) and has only gotten worse. The only time that area was "quiet" was when the CPD actually gave a damn and left a squad car there all night. Thanks Mayor Daley
But I thought they had a laundry room in your old building...free dryers were THAT big a deal?!?
Oh wow...well glad you and yours are good man.
Yeah, both of my South Shore high rises had washers and dryers, but I was lazy and would let them pile up to a point where it was best to knock it out in one sitting
Yeah man those free dryers are crazy, especially on weekends. You gotta be a dryer hawk or else you will miss your chance! So nice to have a place now with in unit washer/dryer.
