She is much better looking, and like a foot taller.

Um, she's not alone.

Paul Konrad and Pat Tomasulo do almost all of these things. All the time. It's part of their "schtick".

^^^ Larry Potash plays their "Seinfeld" to Robin/Paul Konrad (weather guy?) and Tomasulo's Elaine/George/Kramer--kinda, sorta, ok, not really.

Pat Tomasulo occasionally pops up at comedy open mics around town.

They're all clowns - even Ana and Dean. The only ones who play the straight roles are Larry and the red-headed hottie Erin.

I like their Friday compilation videos of their goofiest recent bits. They always seem to have the chicken race in that video mash-up tho.

And Erin-the-Redhead? Usually not a fan of the soulless gingers, but waking up early and catching her hosting before Robin gets in or filling in for Robin later in the AM? Image

And the ditzy on-the-town reporter Ana Belaval(?) has a killer body, even post-kid.

I agree - the "Friday Dance" is good. But Ana doesn't get it done for me like Erin does.

And this completes the Hussra/spanky "Morning Talk Show Review".

They are doing the live tweets of a taped show on The Price Is Right this week. Awful.

I liveblogged The Price Is Right early on in my board tenure. I had not yet found my milieu.

I never pay attention to them. Unless they start running them in the center of the screen they won't bother me.

Wow. I don't watch much ESPN outside of college and pro football.

I might as well have been on twitter instead. Who cares what Kobe Bryant has to say about the soccer team?

If you want local news in the morning you either have to deal with the inane Twitter crawl on Ch. 32 or Robin Baumgarten doing everything but falling off of her chair on Ch. 9.

On Ch. 32 I've seen Anita Padilla, on several occasions, on location reporting on a story and then holding her phone up to the camera and scrolling through FB comments.

Does she have a drug/alcohol problem?

I don't think she does, but it would at least explain why she's a bumbling doofus and so bad at her job. When I used to have Ch. 9 in the morning while getting ready for work, which would be for about 15-20 minutes tops, I saw her:

Frequently misspeak or mispronounce names
Burp on the air
Not be able to read when it was her turn because she had food in her mouth
Not be able to read because she was choking on food
Have a bag of chips on the news desk (that looks very tacky)
Not be at her seat when the camera cut to her

If she managed to do all of that during my very limited viewing I can't imagine how often she did those things during the course of a three hour show...or what else she did.

That's her thing

She's gotta be the easiest D list celeb in Chicago. Like If I saw her out, Id take her home for sure

No, they don't. The show's schtick is to be silly, but when it comes time for them to actually do their jobs and read the news or the weather then can do it. They might stumble or misspeak once in a while as anyone else would, which is perfectly understandable during a four-hour show, but their mistakes are not anywhere near as frequent or egregious as Robin's. Anytime anyone filled in for her, whether it was Erin, Anna, or Val, they still joked around and did their wacky skits but the quality of the actual news reading improved dramatically.

That was quite a bump.

I stand by my highly controversial stance on the WGN morning news team.
(Including the part about wanting to do bad things with the red head traffic girl).

Well, I still think you're wrong about the news as a whole...but very much right about Erin.

I caught some of the WGN Morning News this morning. I think they have a new reporter on staff over there. This guy was in Oak Lawn reporting on the flooding. It was like Will Sasso was doing the report. It was just so over the top and awful. He was practically begging people he was interviewing for laughs.

Hey, you just suffered potentially thousands of dollars of damage to your property, isn't that hilarious?!?

I'm on board with this as I've come to realize that they are not only edited but not always timely either. The LLWS was an example of someone gleaming through tweets to find notable people, and then to post them at various intervals through the game days later.
