Burp on the air
Not be able to read when it was her turn because she had food in her mouth
Not be able to read because she was choking on food
Have a bag of chips on the news desk (that looks very tacky)
Not be at her seat when the camera cut to her

If she managed to do all of that during my very limited viewing I can't imagine how often she did those things during the course of a three hour show...or what else she did.

Um, she's not alone.

Paul Konrad and Pat Tomasulo do almost all of these things. All the time. It's part of their "schtick".

No, they don't. The show's schtick is to be silly, but when it comes time for them to actually do their jobs and read the news or the weather then can do it. They might stumble or misspeak once in a while as anyone else would, which is perfectly understandable during a four-hour show, but their mistakes are not anywhere near as frequent or egregious as Robin's. Anytime anyone filled in for her, whether it was Erin, Anna, or Val, they still joked around and did their wacky skits but the quality of the actual news reading improved dramatically.

I caught some of the WGN Morning News this morning. I think they have a new reporter on staff over there. This guy was in Oak Lawn reporting on the flooding. It was like Will Sasso was doing the report. It was just so over the top and awful. He was practically begging people he was interviewing for laughs.
