Chris Bosh is way way better than Horace Grant.

While that may be somewhat true, the Bulls needed Grant's contributes specifically. Bosh would not have fit in so well on those teams.

We know that Babe Ruth couldn't play in low A ball today and that George Mikan was so uncoordinated that he would be living at Misericordia rather than playing in the NBA if he were in his 20s right now. But Jordan and his teams, well, the defy evolution.

The thing about the Bulls is that they ushered in the evolution. There is not that much different from them to teams today but there is a striking contrast between the Bulls and the Pistons or Celtics. I guess the evolution might have started with the Lakers but they are decidedly a team from their era.

You're talking about style of play though. Not some foolishness about humans having evolved in 20 or even 100 years. If the players are physically superior it's due to training and nutrition, not evolution. I have no doubt the average skater in hockey is faster than he was forty years ago. But not because Nick Leddy is a physically superior human being to Yvan Cournoyer. It's because of nutrition, training, and in a game like hockey, ice surfaces and equipment.
