Why did they reveal Sansa to the lords of the Vale so soon? I feel like they are fast forwarding that story line a lot. Would be OK if they actually had something new to do with it. Looks like we wont see Sansa and Littlefinger at all next season.

When you know almost exactly what's going to happen on a show and you still find yourself shocked/moved, you know they are doing something right.

During the fight I couldn't help but think of a Bond villain just fucking with 007 instead of just killing him...which got me thinking that this guy could make for a great Bond villain at some point.

I saw an interview with him on youtube and thought that he may very well be the gayest actor I have ever seen.

I don't who or what he fucks in his spare time...the guy became my favorite actor to watch on a show full of actors I love to watch.

Kind of a cool fight. The editing was jumpy and chaotic but I imagine that was done to make their moves smoother. I always imagined the Mountain writhing a bit on the ground, not lying still like a corpse before jumping up like a schlock horror movie villain. But man Oberyn's scream was chilling. Television rarely makes me cringe!

yes, that stuck with me. it was also disturbing to see his smashed head on the ground. his paramour's screaming also hit me.

 Wow that was really something the last 10 minutes. Can I assume that the Mountain was not
mortally wounded then? I wasn't completely sure after he collapsed back on the ground after the
fight was finished. I also thought it could be an out for Tyrion if he happened to die.

I completely agree, lipid. Oberyn is perhaps the best-written character on a show full of richly developed characters.

I was thinking that tyrion could be freed if the mountain died as well, I was told the guy is gona die...i guess dude likes to poison his blades "viper" and the mountain makes sense now.

Makes me wonder if there are unwritten rules for trial by combat and if so, who enforced them. Lord Brian of House McCann?

Yeah.

But The Red Viper did get the confession and that causes some real bad things to happen.

Note Jaime and Vary's looks to each other during the fight.

Fucking kill yourselves.

Anyways, yeah, it was just the both of them looking at Cersei while she was being smug. Little does she know that her fortunes shall soon change for the worse! Same with her father.

I read the next episode is all taking place at The Wall. Ugh. Better be a good battle. The Wall bores the piss out of me. The show made Dolorous Edd the calm voice of reason in the last episode. An odd writing choice. I always liked his bits of gloom in the books.

Don't we have a book thread for stuff like this? I mean, I don't care because I've gone on the "Song of Ice..." wiki and looked a lot of this stuff up but for people who just want to talk about the show, which is what I thought this thread was, crap like that is a huge spoiler (no matter how vague you want to be about it).

When you are to watch a movie, do you go online to see what the ending is first?

Not speaking so much to surprises, but I think the overall aesthetic of a tv show or movie is dampened when vital plot points are revealed before viewing.

Am I the only one wondering if Balon Greyjoy still exists on this show? I realize he's fairly irrelevant to most of the story but there is one thing left to do with him. I mean, the usurper Robb Stark, the usurper Joffrey Baratheon, the usurper Balon Greyjoy...

Do they not have a GoT at the MSFMB?

I tried posting something similar yesterday and my computer wouldn't let me submit it. I see you bumped the book
thread as well. Call me lame but I do like the element of surprise in my shows and I haven't read any of the books.

Actually, yes, about 75% of the time.

Put it this way: if you're tellin', I'm listenin'.

I find no value to surprises - unless you are like 5 years old.

The 6th Sense, Fight Club, Seven, The Empire Strikes Back, Planet of the Apes, Psycho, and The Usual Suspects must have been very thrilling for you.
