I'm calling BS on him wanting to go back in, only to have Spo tell him no.

Oh im sure he made a half assed offer like you offering to pay for dinner :D

Spoelstra's statements on that topic seemed didn't seem convincing.

Im saying LeBron probably said he wanted to go back in knowing Spoelstra would say no.

And I threw in a random shot at you being cheap which has no basis just a joke.

I may be mis-remembering things here, but are some of the most storied NBA finals games either in the sweltering old Boston Garden (where temps allegedly got into the mid/high 90's), or the old Stadium during the first run when there were issues (humidity & condensation) in the old barn relating to ice for Blackhawks games?

Just wondering.

Worst actor in a dramatic role: Paul Pierce or LeBron James?

Absolutely at the Boston Garden. That is well documented and fondly recalled by guys like Terry (and probably Terry)

I understood the first part. Didn't know if you were referencing the time Klansman Steve accused me of being cheap for letting my GF pay for my birthday dinner.

Earvin Magic Johnson ✔ @MagicJohnson
The Heat & Spurs players found out what is was like to play in the Finals at the Boston Garden during the 80's!

The Spurs & Heat fans thought that was hot, '84 we played 4 games, '85, 3 games & '87 , 3 games in the Boston Garden with those same temps!

Maybe if LeBron was just a run of the mill fat, short, slow athlete like back in the day ('80s), he wouldn't be cramping up. Larry Bird never cramped up.

W&S is a good listen today. I had to PTFB when I heard Bob. That deranged train has to be put out to pasture.

I hate pretty much anyone who acts as a publis spokesperson for the Sox, including their abysmal announcers.

And I'm a Sox fan.

There seems to be an entire subdivision of sportswriters (and, in particular, sports bloggers) who think their responsibility is to defend LeBron like a bunch of cosseting grandparents. It's no longer enough to Appreciate Greatness; now we all must Agree Never To Question Greatness (And Also, Greatness Is Better Than Jordan). The funny thing is, these are the same people who sneer and snark at NHL fans for having an inferiority complex. If some yutz tweeting "wat were they mentstrual cramps lol a hockey player wouldn of missed a shift" constitutes an inferiority complex, what, pray tell, is the psychological term for the last 18 hours' worth of desperate apologias?

Nobody wants to mention that the Heat lost because of the heat?

I wouldn't have ever seen it if not for YouTube. Maybe the greatest 2 minutes of sports I've ever seen.
