And in the NFL, safeties and running backs are more likely to get hurt than punters are.

I should have said TOP prospects. Davidson is the highest ranked 118. Not counting Rodon (you picked him up by tanking last season and Whitesox fans don't approve of that kind of strategy) Besides, Rodon will be a bust according to your theory of W/L's 6-7 in his last year at college.

I've heard a lot about that rising powerhouse of a Cubs minor league prospect, Javier Baez. He's 1 for his last 15 with 7 strikeouts. Over 47 games at AAA Iowa, he is batting .215.

Looks like he will fit right in with the major league club.

Not a believer in the Baez hype or believe Rizzo and Castro will ever be superstars.

But the future of the Cubs does not lie only on these three players. If 1/3 of the top prospects turn into ML above average players then we have a nice core to build around. It's not rocket science. The more bing bong balls you have, the better your odds are of hitting the jackpot.

If I had bing bong balls, I'd be on the phone with a urologist immediately!!!
