I think the other common theme is narcissism. All these people feel they were wronged in some way and deserve better. In most cases you find out that the WRONGS were just normal parts of life.

So in my opinion, its insanity + narcissism (trophy generation) + guns = Bad things

We went back and forth for multiple pages about pot, and not one time did you actually address anything I said. You wanted me to comment on some extreme position from some unnamed person, or you wanted to talk about caffeine, sugar, and Mexican gangsters. Arguing for pages with somebody who isn't even listening to me, while creating strawmen out of thin air, seems like a big waste of time, so I will pass.

If you really want to know where somebody is coming from, perhaps ignoring what they actually said, and calling them a hypocrite, is not the best way to start.

One side believes in global warming. The other thinks it is a hoax, and scientists are lying.
One side encourages voting. The other goes out of its way to suppress minority voters.
One side believes in evolution. The other side wants creationism taught in science class.
One side works with the other when they are not in power. The other has stated their goal is to never work with the president.

I could keep going, but I think the point has been made. They are the same on a lot of things, but there are HUGE differences, on many issues.

We have a huge gun problem in this country. I don't know how to fix it, but standing around with our thumbs up our asses, while one side says we can't talk about it, is not helping. Taking away everybody's guns is not the answer, so let me clear that up for those with reading comprehension issues.

Since Obama took office, the number of militias has skyrocketed, as has the sale of guns and ammunition. Shootings like this one, are becoming commonplace. The gun fetishization, fear mongering, and rhetoric from the right has to be a factor in many of these incidents. This is what I am talking about, when I refer to the right wing, whack jobs.

Obviously, the mental health care in this country is a huge mess. We can hang that one on St. Ronald. You can see why I am putting more blame on the right for this issue.

I said the obstruction is much worse now than I have ever seen, and it's true. The R's had the House and Senate for the first six years of W's presidency, so I don't see how the D's have been as bad as this current brand of R's. Does not compute.
