I think he's an idiot at times, sure. But I hated Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, John Starks and Bill Laimbeer. The off the court stuff doesn't interest me much.
Those players are gone though. Just because you hated them doesn't mean you can't hate Lebron.

No. I'm sure it does make a difference in Chicago but I don't think that is the main reason. Lebron has done plenty to deserve his criticism. The only thing that has changed since then is that he has won titles.

I'm coming from a different spot though. I wanted Lebron to be better than Jordan and was a huge Lebron guy since high school. I just hate the whole situation in Miami. I hate how it started. I hate how it went. I hate how it is going now. His legacy is forever tarnished to me.

Um...just discussing LeBron and giving my opinion. Never said people have to think one way or another. It's strange that my posts make you feel that way.

Everything good?

It's just odd how you debate. A pattern of painting the other party as weird because they hold the opposite opinion. An interesting technique to say the least.

I really don't criticize lebron as much as maybe I should. in the same way i'm sympathetic to the olsen twins or mccauley caulkin.

LBJ's narrative is fairly unique even compared to most other stars. even jordan. Jordon was a nobody up until his sr yr of high school but even then wasn't "destined". and prospects didn't get nearly the coverage hs kids in the early 2000's got. LBJ was basically heralded as a top 3 draft pick in jr high. and was raised as such. every experience, everything hinged around that. of course hes kind of an a-hole. I probably would be too.

he isn't the competitor jordan was. cleveland is a terrible place, dan gilbert is a moron, and though the Decision was an awful idea, it did raise a lot of money for charity. who cares that he could of donated in another way. Basketball isn't that important for people to be that upset over it (outside of cleveland)

No technique. I have my way of thinking. Sometimes it's different than other people's. Especially when it comes to sports & entertainment, I have recently discovered. I try my best to share my views and gain and understanding how other people view things.

I notice there's a lot of passive aggressive judgement when doing so. My advice would be to be geniune. But that's just my 2 cents.

There's nothing passive aggressive about it. I actually say when I find someones opinion strange or odd.

No, they arent funny usually.

But these two apparently think they're hilarious. And they are villains of the NBA so they will always be judged a little harsher

I mean combine Lebron's missteps with Wade telling people to call him "3" They're either incredibly tone deaf with fans or they WANT to be hated

They don't care. Lots of older NBA players were the same way. The difference is that with media access being what it is, them being "villains" isn't really confined to specific regions.

Isaiah was a villian in Chicago (his home town)
Mike was a villian in New York
I'm fairly certain Magic wasn't loved in Boston

But they do care or they wouldn't bitch about the treatment. Laimbeer, Rodman and Mahorn were examples of guys who didn't care. Lebron and Wade are emo villians.

Goes along with your "my wardrobe hasn't changed since the early 90s" stance.

My dad thought it was too dangerous to pay PREMIUM prices

Instead of AIR JORDAN on the inside of the tongue it said "Made in Taiwan"

And instead of the 23 being stitched on the side, they were painted.

It fell apart.

I had to earn just about everything as a kid but I never had knock off shoes or pro wings. Considering the way my grandmother thought it was surprising. Now I had to keep them clean because she wasn't buying another pair until a certain time of the year or until they were too small. Thank God my feet grew a lot until I could get a job.

I have to strongly disagree, especially on LeBron

LeBron TOTALLY cares. Everything he does is about his image, which is probably the root of most of the hate. He should have just let his play do the talk instead of trying to become a business.

Mike, Magic and Bird were hate/respected by rivals. Wade and James are just hated by everyone outside their team.

Isaiah was a villain though, agree there.

I'm almost certain James is respected by his rivals to the same degree as the guys you mentioned. Not sure on Wade.
