Think this ran on NBC last night but it is replaying on Golf Channel tonight at 9pm. Should be a nice
recap on his career and interviews about the man and player on the upcoming 15 year anniversary of
his death in a plane crash.

I can't see this pic, but it had better be Major Payne...or at the very worst, Martin (Lawrence) Payne.

I used to live near Payne Dr which runs thru Washington Park.

With all the Pinehursting for Payne going on, am I wrong in recalling that he was almost universally considered to be one of the legendary, all-time assholes? Not that I care, but still. His daughter is quite the looker though.

I think he was pretty well liked by most of the guys. I thought he did come off kind of assholish during some
of his press conferences on the show.

I think he pretty much admitted to being an a-hole. Either having a family or finding religion (can't remember) was cited as the reason he changed his ways.

Stewart, Walter Payton and Greg Moore all died within like a week of each other. Greg Moore was my favorite Indy car driver and it hit me pretty hard at the time.

A lot of that also came from the Ryder Cup, he and Azinger could not stand Ballesteros and Olazabal. Those were some great Ryder Cup matches.
