600,000 with no journalistic experience to justify it? That is nuts! I wonder what the other "contributors" to the nightly news make on a national level.


NEW YORK - Chelsea Clinton was paid an annual salary of $600,000 to be a special correspondent for NBC News, according to Politico.

Clinton did a few features for "Rock Center With Brian Williams" until it was canceled in June 2013, including a notorious interview with the Geico Gecko, and has contributed to NBC Nightly News packages.

She reportedly is still being paid on a month-to-month basis, though it is unclear if she'll continue to work with the network after she gives birth to her first child, due this fall. Clinton's gig could also be in jeopardy should her mother choose to run for president.

"We don't comment on details of existing contracts. NBC News continues to enjoy a wonderful working relationship with Chelsea, and we are proud of her work," an NBC rep said in response to the report.

A rep for NBC News said that was all they planned to say for now.

give them 2 paychecks from a $65K a year job, just as if they are working stiffs and lets see them function. They can have a car to start, but they need to make a payment on it. This would be a show worth watching
