I don't care about the results on the floor or the field, I listen to B&b so dan can tell me who the best team is. That's the best way to follow sports.

I remember after "The Decision" and that stupid celebration in Miami when Lebron did his "not 1, not 2, not 3...." even Danny said he didn't care for Lebron anymore and was very disappointed. Guess what, Danny? so did a lot of people and, yes, they can still hate Lebron and at the same time appreciate his greatness. But you can pretend to get mad and yell at people for their schadenfreude and proclaim you don't understand it. Should make for another great show and a real ratings bonanza that you can blame on the Sox.

Yes. Yes x 100.

The ONLY thing that changed from that day is Lebron won two titles. If you are the kind of person that overlooks clear personality flaws and decides to change your opinion on someone because they win then that is on you. Just don't expect others to do the same. There were plenty of people that used the "greatness" excuse with Lance Armstrong too and ignored the clear reasons to hate him.

That's definite "WYC" material. Hating Lance Armstrong took up what, 2 months of the show? Between Penn State and CTE?

Lance Armstrong is a legitimate piece of shit, while LeBron only seems to have his head stuck up his ass.

The principle is still the same. Accomplishment doesn't override not liking a guy personally.

That is probably true, but I also don't know why that would matter. At least in terms of charity, Lebron has also used it to self-aggrandize.

Let the record show.

Funny how Miami is now a hopeless situation for Lebron now.

It is disingenous to spend the better part of 4 seasons to say that the Miami Heat will win because they have Lebron James and then now spend your time talking about the other players even if the other players includes a guy that was not too long ago a top five player. When Wade was a top five player it was all about the greatness and superiority of Lebron James. Now the Heat are doomed because Dwayne Wade is on the decline. It is going to be tough for Bernstein to walk this one back.

Why would anyone ever expect this show to be anything other than disingenuous?

Thats true but it is ironic that they are talking about the wonderfulness of the team game when they have spent the all this time focusing on the individual talents of certain players and how they impact winning.

They've resorted to duplicitously reframing their positions to make it seem like they either anticipated or are not surprised with developments like the spurs winning. It's the same thing with the McCown vs Cutler thing - they simply won't say they're wrong.

They have spent all of this time talking about how the Heat will win because they have Lebron James and you don't and now they are trying to spin it so that Wade and the rest of the supporting cast are to blame for the loss when none of the other players got any credit when they won. It was all about the greatness of James. Now they are creating the argument that they Bulls had better go after James if they hope to win.

There were a lot of people that bought into the narrative that you can't beat Lebron James four times to win a series. The Spurs had a better record in a better conf. yet there were a # of people unwilling to bet against Lebron James. Lebron James Wade and Bosh decided to play together because they each believed that they could not win without the other guy or guys. James carried that team this year but he also benefitted by playing in a weak conf. The Rose injury and the fraudulence of the Indiana Pacers allowed Miami to cakewalk to the finals. They were not that good this year and anyone that watched basketball knew it.

We also would've accepted:

Barry Bonds
Isiah Thomas
Claude Lemieux
Mark McGwire
Ryan Braun
John Calipari
Rick Pitino
Mike Krzyzewski
Michael Jordan
A.J. Pierzynski

i don't know how I could have lost you there since the team with the best record in the league won the championship. I don't know how it doesn't matter when the team with the best record won.

Is the score promoting Larry in his popularity contest on the radio to? Or is it just an online thing?

That's my favorite part of the show. When, uhhh, uhhh, ummm, for the love of God, and don't forget, uhhhh, uhhhh, ummmm, uhhhh, Terry criticizes someone for their inability to convert a thought to words.

This can't be emphasized enough. The East was terrible this year and that allowed the Heat to coast for a lot of the season.

I'm surprised B&B haven't resorted to placing the blame/credit for this series on the coaches. There is something to the argument, Pop is easily an all-time great and Spo is just kinda there a lot of times and it was obvious he had no answer for what Pop and the Spurs were running after game 3.

Last week, I heard Dan refer to Spoelstra as a "great" coach. I don't think I've ever heard him referred to as that.

There was some defensive metric that said the Heat were great, and that was good enough for Dan to call Spo a great coach.
