Knowing you did the right thing is the best kind of thank you.

That didnt happen

You taking over Baby Mac's role?

Other than people in armored cars really can't hear you and are trained not to stop for anyone. Especially people on bikes waving their arms... What's not to believe?

I had a service years ago.

They came four days a week. If he wasn't back in the truck in four minutes or less, I was getting a call from the office or the driver. They stop for no one other than customers. And even then they are on the clock.

I'm not trying to be a jag off. But the likelihood of that story be true is somewhere between Brick and Bmac having dinner together, and the Cubs winning a World Series.

Would I be piling on if I asked "how does a guy with a bad leg pedal a bike fast enough to catch an armored car?"

Some of those "Streetwise" peddlers can be pretty damned quick.

The same way a guy who is too injured to work, is ready to fight a motherfucker or two.

The likelier story is that he saw a bum pushing a shopping cart full of aluminum cans. A few cans fell out, and Chas handed them back to the bum.

One time I was walking down the street to get an ice cream cone, when gold coins started falling down from the sky. At first I couldn't believe it, but then I figured that somebody must have been in a hot air balloon and lost all of their money! I gathered up as many as I could and starting calling as many hot air balloon rental places as I could find, and finally found the guy who lost all of the coins. I returned them all to him right away and he gave me a free hot air balloon ride. It was the best hot air balloon ride I have ever been on.

A gust of wind. A dog barks. Cue the truck. Exit Herman. Walk into the bank.
Exit Felix. Stand there with a not-so-bright look on your face. All right, Doris, come on.
Fix your bra, honey. That's better.

"Felix. "

"How you doing, Doris?"
"Can I have a roll of quarters?"

Ten, nine, eight, car, six, five, quarters, three, two...

Chas would have been better off saying he had a heartattack on the bike, then biked himself to the hospital. There might have been 2 people who believed that one.
