I think White Sox baseball killed JORR.

The Sox were down 2-0 and I had to step away for a bit. I come back Gordon did some yard work and they're up 5-2. Nice.

I was more impressed that Danks was able to keep the Giants off the board after the White Sox scored in 3 straight innings. Most of the time when the Sox give Danks a lead, he gives all or part of it right back.

I heard Hawk say last week that Viciedo, Eaton and Sierra were " the best defense in the majors"

No defense with Viciedo in it is the best defensively.

Viciedo is better than the majority of left fielders.

I don't know if the Sox have the best outfield, but Viciedo, Eaton, Sierra is pretty damn good. Nobody else has arms like those on both corners.

having a good arm is only part of being a good defensive outfielder.

Of course. But left field is often reserved for hitters that generally can't play anywhere else. (Hello Kris Bryant and Kyle Schwarber!) Viciedo is adequate in right, near elite in left.

Tanks is not elite with the glove, but he's not as bad as some make him out to be either.

Please do not ever use the word elite and Viciedo in the same sentence again.

Thanks.

But among left fielders he is. Look at them.

But he plays RF primarily now so we should compare him to other right fielders.

I would expect a Cubs fan compare different positions, not you.

I'm not. But the original premise was Hawk stating that the outfield of Viciedo, Eaton, and Sierra was the best right now. I'm not saying I agree, just that it isn't outlandish as the poster was suggesting with his  .

Next you will be telling us that Beckham is the second best fielding 2nd baseman in the AL

It did strike me as outlandish , the Sox were playing the Royals at the time...K.C. Has a great defensive outfield ...better than the Sox...I would say Houston ,Anaheim ,Pittsburgh and Miami to round out the top 5. I just hear Hawk talking out of his ass very often .

The Royals outfield is good. Hawk was going on about them too. But nobody has the arms on the corners that Vicideo and Sierra do and all thre Sox guys can catch the ball.

Nice job by McEwing sending Tank there. Force the defense to make a throw.

Sox have chance after chance to push runs across against KC and can't do it. In less than 24 hours they have scored 16 runs (possibly a 17th) off of Cain and Hudson who pitch for the best team in MLB.

Funny game

Jose Abreu acknowledged on Wednesday that manager Robin Ventura’s message has been received.

The White Sox slugger seemed remorseful when he addressed the media about 12 hours after the coaching staff admonished him.

Abreu didn’t run to first base on a wild pitch after he struck out in the seventh inning of Tuesday’s victory over the San Francisco Giants. Bench coach Mark Parent immediately spoke with Abreu in the dugout and Ventura caught up with him afterward to let Abreu know the example he set for his teammates isn’t acceptable.
