Back in the 70s my dad apparently did that (with the blessing of his attorney/neighbor).
It was some old ass 8mm crap, like where the dude wore masks and socks and the women wore these weird teddys... strangeness afoot. I guess the film kept breaking and they couldnt, ah, keep it up so to speak. But this did happen.

I'm trying to figure out this betrayal. Was he not referring you all business or just business connected to the broker? If it's the former you have a complaint. If it's the later, he is only doing what you asked him to do (and he's not barred from working with a guy just because you think he is shady).
