I heard Danny Boy poo-pooing Terry's rooting for the U.S. by repeatedly saying, "Germany's better," no matter what Terry said. So, according to Dan, the U.S. should have just thrown up their hands in 1980 and said, "Russia is better," and been done with it. No reason to actually play. One team is better. So says Dan, so it shall be.

It's always a great listen when Bernsie tells us how stupid it is to like things.


Seriously, I couldn't care less about the world cup, but it's just idiotic to pretend that you don't understand why fans would wish good things on a team, regardless of the expectations for that team. I probably tune into this show once every three months. Today was one of those days. I had hoped they had toned down the strawmen, but they haven't.

Apparently, all Bulls fans are criticizing GarPax for not landing free agents, all Bears fans think Patrick Mannely is irreplaceable, and all Bears fans read too much into training camp and OTA's.

Also, more apologizing for every team in the city. Today it was the Bulls.

And Dan wants the Cubs to hire the GM who was let go by San Diego... why would he want this? The guy sounds like a Theo/Hoyer drone. We already have two of them.
