Dan's really getting ahead of himself on LeBron playing for the league minimum anywhere he wants.

My sources at Dan Bernsteins camp (literally) can confirm that LeBron has opted out.

It's like a gasoline fire of pandering emails.

Lebron is great because he makes the white sportswriters nervous!!

I said it before, but I'll say it again. It's hilarious how quickly they've 180'd on their opinion of the Heat. They were unstoppable two months ago. Now they're nothing but bums. And Dan already has a "well-rested Spurs team" kicking the Heat's ass in the 2015 Finals, should the Big Three get the band back together

I think I've had enough. I haven't listened to a whole show in a while.

Thought this one could be entertaining but it's pretty dull.

Lebron probably has his own cap guy who can tell him exactly who will be on his team and how much each team can pay him.

Horrible. Dan is now anti-loyalty.

Also hilarious when Terry mocks those who don't understand the amnesty provision, as though he does.

I noticed earlier that Dan took a break from his usual union-busting to stress that LeBron would be doing his union a disservice by not taking advantage of the rights that his union collectively bargained for him. Good thing LeBron is opting out from an owner who isn't Jerry Reinsdorf or Dan would be howling about loyalty just like any other old white guy.

This x1000. A month ago this Heat team was good enough that they would have split a 10 game series 5-5 with the 90's Bulls. Nevermind the fact that everyone knew even before the Spurs series that there was only one positional matchup the Heat would have the advantage in against the Bulls. I'm getting sidetracked with the stupid Jordan Bulls/Lebron Heat debate but the point is that these guys are all over the place trying to find ways to praise Lebron.

What positional matchup is that?

Jordan > LeBron
Pippen > Wade
Grant/Rodman > Bosh
Cartwright/Longley > Birdman
Paxson/B.J. > Chalmers

Phil > SpoRiley

Even then Dan isn't taking into account the salary cap may increase by more than $5M. That gives the Bulls and other teams more flexibility.

Wouldn't it be a disservice to his union if he doesn't take the maximum amount of money?

Yes, and by the way, file that away for when outspoken labor leader Jonathan Toews doesn't give the Blackhawks any semblance of a hometown discount, because that's exactly what's going to happen.

It was early 90's Bulls they were discussing because of Horace's comments so we're talking the Jordan, Pip, Grant, Cartwright, Pax team. And again, positional matchup, not just comparing each teams top 5. That means you have to match Wade with Jordan and Pip with Lebron, SG to SG and SF to SF.

Jordan > Wade
Pippen < Lebron(not by as much as Bronbron fans act but still)
Grant > Bosh
Cartwright > whatever joke the Heat set as C
Pax > Chalmers

CARMELO. ANTHONY. IS. NOT LeBRON. LeBRON already has generational wealth and many endorsements. He would only get more by coming to Chicago. ALL. HE. CARES. ABOUT. IS. WINNING. CHAMPIONSHIPS. He is a championship machine and the best player ever. Look at his body!

He would do it to win more championships. I could see him taking a 4 year $60M deal with a $10M starting salary.

Is Riley dumb enough to give him that type of deal?

I can't see how Wade can walk away from that final year of his contract.

He needs to come back next year and prove he deserves another long term deal, or he just needs to cash his last big nut, and hang'em up.
