Would be interesting to see an Iowa lineup of Alcantara, Baez, Bryant, and Manny.

Schwarber is doing work in KC already. 1-3 with an RBI last night.

2-2 with a 2b and a solo hr so far tonight.

I went to the game last night and he didn't look as fat as I thought he would. I thought he looked pretty good in the 2 AB's I saw before the rain came.

Bryant is about to wear the golden sombrero tonight though. Baez is picking up the slack for him.

Kyle Schwarber: 2-3 with a homer, a double, and a walk.

That'll do.

Bryant has 4 hits for Iowa since being promoted. All homers. He's struck out pretty much every other time.

Even with that, his .OPS is over 1.000 at AAA after today's game.

2-4 today.

.730 OPS since May 1st. Still some work to do...but there is no rush.

He doesn't even look that big yet. How depressing after that homer to hear the PA guy say "Next up Josh Vitters!"

this guy is going to be a monster. I'm predicting 500-600 homers.

Time for Epstoyer to call-up Alcantara. 2nd base is a disaster with Barney and Alcantara is hitting .290/.336/.518. Service time be damned as these dudes need major league reps to get acclimated to the bigs. If Epstein needs to tell Ricketts to go fuck himself if he questions how this will affect Alcantara's free agency in 2020.

It's not like that guy ever projects to be some bank breaking kind of talent.

Not to mention that almost never comes back to haunt the team, even WITH guys like Trout etc.

If they're so good, they'll never get to FA

I mean, I understand holding a guy til May 10th or whatever that first date is but other than that, when they're ready they're ready.

yep. A seven year contract before the arbitration years seems to be the normal this year for good players
