My lawnmower died, so we bought a new one. Haven't taken it out of the box yet because of the rain. Looking forward to doing it Friday.

We are getting a new roof, hopefully this week. Didn't realize how expensive this crap is. $9,000. Thankfully insurance is covering 65% of it. Went with the architectural shingles and a wrap for 130 mph wind protection. I don't know what it all means, but I'm sure my insurance premium is going up no matter what.

I miss bowling.

How do you like the new Hold Steady album? I'm a fan. They're playing Lincoln Hall next Wednesday, but I'm missing it so I can drive to Michigan for the long weekend.

It's time someone said it: The Hold Steady just aren't that good. I find their brand of fake authenticity especially oily and exploitative.
