i don't know what started this trend but i see one of these stories almost weekly on yahoo's main page of OMG headlines.

The success of Buzzfeed/Upworthy and their brand of relentless, vapid positivity has mandated that everyone push these sorts of stories as the shining rays of light that give us hope in our cubicle hell.

Don't a lot of those end up being denied by corporate anyways?

The last one I saw was like "Man leaves $1500 tip" and then it said that tips above 100% are against company policy and are immediately refunded and the guy was going to have to come in and write a check or something.

Funny you should mention that. I just had a recent conversation with Scottie Pippen, and he told me he ALWAYS tips 110% on his checks.

Yeah, he knows 110% and $1.10 are different, right?

Just as long as it's not 1.3 then he's fine.

Absolutely. I mean there are a few true ones obviously, but the number of them posted on sites like The Chive and the like is insane. It would bring the Natl tipping average up to 75%

I guess you can't believe anything on the internet. I bet they'll just claim they were joking.

nothing particularly new, but just read an update saying KFC reviewed all security footage, receipts, etc. and found no evidence that the claim is true...but apparently the family and lawyer are sticking to their story still

KFC should call the CPD on them.

It already has some time ago. Too many dopes like to put on their "I'm offended" hats and take to the internet streets in virtual protest of something they have no clue about.

A few years ago there was a woman who was a chaperone/monitor on a school bus. Some of the kids were calling her names and one kid was poking at her hearing aid. There was video that was, of course, released online. Someone set up an account for her on an online donation site and people donated $700,000!
