More than that. The bar across roscoes on the east side of halsted had an anti-Rainer sign sign too. Other floats were had people holding signs as well. I don't anything about the guy really. Just thought it was funny.

The trashing is so true. People selling Jell-O shots, water bottles, flags, beads whatever. Parade is done? Time to toss it on the ground. Oh, and time to call 911. Trevor hasn't moved in 30 minutes

One thing the city does amazingly for this event is the cleanup!

Minutes after the parade is done, the crews start at the REAR (No better place for this event0 and start picking up the fences,the next immediate wave is about 100 guys cleaning up trash, emptying cans into one of 20 garbage trucks and then 6 street cleaners a few feet behind them.

Maybe the most efficient thing the city does.

Cant believe how hard I laughed at this

When I was still with the City and assigned to Loop Operations we covered this thing. Want to talk a waste of money. All those guys are getting overtime, it is a 10plus hour day. we would meet at Loop Operations. We got a speech about being tolerant and not punching people out. Then when we got to kick off point at end of the parade we got two more speeches. One from the top cop who told us if we needed help just flag one of his guys. The other was fro that jackass Tunney,who told us that it was his day and to not get in the way.
South Side Irish has nothing on this. For one thing. No nudity or outdoor sex at Irish. The drinking is way more in excess here believe it or not. Funniest thing was we where near Wrigley and I was beside a sweeper. as it was picking stuff up apparently there was a spray can in the street. Sweeper picked it up and it exploded sending a jet of yellow paint out the from all over this guys car. 2 seconds later the can came out and added insult to injury rocketing off the windshield.
