Due to the good timing of this years Holiday, I am off to the fine city of Lake Geneva for 4 days.

Fri July4th has the legal obligation to close up all non essential work facilities Thursday at noon!

It's when you get that Wed July 4th date that fucks up everything.

Yes, I know Jimmypasta made a simialr post but I just cant look at it again!

I love the 4th of July. Probably my favorite holiday - mostly because the expectations are low.
That being said = going to the lovely, scenic and tropical destination OOOOFFF...................

Cleveland.

Going to the Indians/Royals game and the R&R HoF. Not so bad I guess.

I took my 2 Boys with me on a business trip to Cleveland about 10 years ago and we did the R&R HOF & the NFL HOF.Both are great. The rest of Cleveland blows.

How far is Canton from Cleveland? Couple hours into the middle of nowhere, right?

Hour and half more or less.

Cleveland has a casino now too. Pretty dingy. Ohio City is actually pretty decent. Some nice brewpubs.

Well,.............

That does seem awfully short-sighted of you. :D

But I am intrigued. Tell me more about this, because you do have good beer taste.

Their gentrified neighborhood. Lakefront has a brewpub there. Market Garden Brewery has a great patio.

Cleveland's museum of science and industry is actually pretty cool. Went there damn near every time when I visited my grandparents as a yute. Very interactive but that was prolly at least 10 years ago. It's right next door to RR HoF. I highly recommend it.

One of my favorite beers. Here's the BA info

http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/19544/50564/

If you're serious, give me the near whereabouts of where you'll be staying, and I can ask my buddy who lives in Cleveland about where you can find it. I don't think the brewery is too far from there either.

Well, I try to keep this a secret, but I actually am kinda serious about craft beer.

I will be looking this up for sure.

We are staying right downtown - walking distance to stadium and R&R HoF.

Canton is 1 hour South of Cleveland.

Tall Midget will be venturing to Cape Cod, where he will gorge himself on fried clams and New England microbrews while paying just enough attention to his children to keep them from being engulfed in the Atlantic Ocean.

Doing a 5K in the morning with a friend. Not sure about the rest of the day. Probably some grilling of meat,
possibly hitting some range balls.

-Band practice Weds after work. Maybe a couple of birthday drinks during and/or after, but it won't be a late nite

-Golf with spany on Thursday AM, Evergreen Park parade and beer in the PM

-Fri my aunt & uncle have an all day family block party, so we will be going there for fireworks and beer

-Sat & Sun, no real plans. Another band practice one of those days, some yard/house work, maybe 9 holes of golf, but for sure some downtime and relaxation. Grilling steaks on Sunday evening.
