The Bernstein Expectation: All any GM can be asked to do is have a solid franchise.

Not saying I don't believe Boers, but doesn't every electronic garage have a mechanism that will allow you to get out manually? This is my first year having an apartment with a garage, and I had to use it that one time when the power went out last year during the Bears/Ravens game.

75/25 he goes back to Knicks.

Family and money matter.

Also, the Rockets do not matter

Well that is a lowered expectation than he used to tout as the only goal/measurement.

Cheering for the United States to win because you're, like, an American and stuff, makes Dan feel all icky.

It also gives him a chance to say "jingoism", which rather enjoys.

Yep theres a manual disconnect from the chain drive that will let you just push the door up. Of course I wouldn't expect that fucking moron to be able to negotiate that.

Yes, you should be able to do that. But from the recent pictures I've seen of Terry, I don't know if he's in condition to do that.

Regional alliances are so arbitrary. Maybe we should have a sabermetric guy determine who is the optimal team for us to cheer for.

Maybe instead of "How does this get you closer to a championship" it should be "How does this get you closer to being a solid franchise"?

Why doesn't Teary just hook up the ISDN line, like he does every other day?

I believe he would prefer if all cheering was done retroactively after the champion is crowned.

Thanks guys on the garage question. I've pretty much lived in apartments all my life, haven't had much experience with garages.

He has taught me that you should only cheer for, and get excited for, teams that have a realistic chance of winning the whole thing. So, I suppose the choices are Germany, Brazil, or France. Out of those three, I think the obvious choice for him is France. Brazil wasted millions building stadiums while ignoring the poverty of its' citizens, and Germany...well, you know.

Sounds better than saying TB has no power and cant sign on from home like he usually does.

Brazil has the best chance of winning, not to mention a muscular person of color literally called Hulk, so that's where I'd put my money.
