i think ground up lips & snouts will stay good for a little while longer than other meats
I only eat Kosher dogs.

Don't really know what Kosher actually is but anything blessed by a religious figure must be good.

My brother was a production manager at a food ingredient facility and his stories of Rabbis coming in and looking for a payoff to sign off on the Kosherocity of the food are legendary .

Elaine: Excuse me? Excuse me, but I didn't get a meal.

Attendant: Are you sure?

Elaine: Yes, I'm sure! I would know if a tray of food had been served to me.

Attendant: Would you? Well, the only meal left is a kosher meal.

Elaine: Kosher meal? I don't want a kosher meal. I don't even know what a kosher meal is.

Passenger 1: I think it means when a Rabbi has inspected it, or something.

Passenger 2: No, no. It all has to do with the way they kill the pig.

Passenger 1: They don't eat pigs!

Passenger 2: They do if it's killed right-- under a Rabbi's supervision.

I've had it as well from the stupid taco place on Rte 59 just south of 88 -- next to Ernesto's dance fiesta or whatever it is. But for all I know they were storing the pork at 55 degrees for three weeks before they gave it to me.

Rule #1: Always stick to hi-turnover meats like ground beef, steak, and chicken at hole-in-the-wall Mexican joints.

i think that rule could apply to most restaurants....how many greek places have a 30 page menu?....you kind of wonder how often someone orders fish at a place like that

It may not be worth it, but just as an FYI - most homeowners insurance policies cover spoiled food/refrigerated products as a result of a power outage. They typically cover up to $500, but in some circumstances it can be much more.

Just to clarify, there obviously would be no deductible applied, nor would it be a chargeable claim.

I never throw out food unless we are without power for longer than 48 hours or things smell noticeably bad. I have an iron stomach and do not tolerate waste in my household.

I can't wait for weed to be legal if only because I want to start hearing claims stories regarding people's stashes. I can only presume some have tried to file claims on it previously, but those probably aren't going to be shared outside the inner circle of claims folks for somehwat obvious reasons.

Periodically you hear news reports of peeps calling 911 to report the theft of their drug stash. Hilarity ensues.

Knew a guy who grew his own psilocybin mushrooms. First time he grew em, he wasn't aware of how much more powerful they are fresh off the cake vs dried and re-sold at
a Phish show 6 months later. So instead of being cautious and popping a gram or two, he eats 5 g's worth of fresh off-the-cake shrooms. Fast forward an indeterminate number of hours and dude's coming to on the floor of his apartment, surrounded by tubs of still growing shrooms and the local gendarmes asking him why he called them.

The insurance company will typically reimburse up to 250 without a question.

I'm going swimming in a parking lot if that happens.

250 what? Dollars? Just straight-up cash? I don't think that's quite accurate.

Depends on the situation and company. In a severe situation like Sandy and with a 500 dollar limit on refrigerated products, every company is going to pay you 500 dollars no questions asked just to get the claim closed.

In regards to cash, ISO forms typically cover cash but have a limit of around 200 dollars (like if cash is stolen). It's a low limit because it's nearly impossible to document the existence of cash.

Well, you might get it 'no questions asked' once in a very great while. Even if completely true, honest, and accidental you do it more than once in any real span of time you're going to have questions asked.

But yes, otherwise it is techincally correct.
