Really good mens final match going on right now. All tied 5th set, 3 games apiece.

Ive never been a huge fan of tennis except to look at the hot female players once in awhile but I somehow I always end up seeing the Mens finals on Sunday mornings and come away mega impressed. These guys are beasts.

V-I-C-T-O-R-Y for the Eli Manning of Men's tennis. Gets no respect, all he does is win.

Djokovic couldn't have even 1 female in that group hug? Image

Loved tennis in 8th grade/high school before I decided to try playing it junior year, which was such an unmitigated disaster that I practically disavowed the mere existence of the sport until first reading Infinite Jest a couple years later. That was a good time for tennis. Lots of characters, and Federer had yet to start his reign of terror. I remember when it was a big deal that he knocked out Sampras in the round of 16.

The women's game was more interesting than the men's at that time, and still might be, thanks to the advent of the power-baseline game that replaced both the serve-and-volley and baseline-rally games.

american men's tennis died with the retirement of andre agassi. roddick never developed a "b" or "c" game, and james blake didn't have the talent. not to mention that federer was just unbeatable.

the best time in america for tennis was the 70's and 80's. pete sampras wasn't interesting at all to watch, i just wanted him to win because he was american really. i liked jim courier though.

i don't see any up and comers from here either. donald young doesn't seem to be going anywhere and most of the other guys are going to be career fourth rounders or quarterfinalists.

it's really just nadal, federer and djokovic with the occasional andy murray sighting...the second tier of the david ferrers, jo-wilifred tsongas and stalislas wawrinkas will get one or two slams but it isn't that interesting to watch them.

oh...and lleyton hewitt is still on the tour.

Yeah, the Andy Roddick flow chart got a little murky if someone returned his serve.

Homer: The wrestler?
